Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Interestingly this round with Israel acting alone may be very hard for them. Not a single USAF tanker in the air. Right now Israel only has a handful of old 707S and C-130s. Unsure how safe they would be over Iraq but anyway, that fleet would struggle so maybe they will just lob missiles from long range. That will only give them limited strike options compared to flying F-35s over Iran

Israel cannot carry out attacks without US cover, US assets are in Israel to provide support.

Taking bets!
Like
= US gets involved till Wednesday
Wow
= US gets involved after Wednesday
Haha
= No US involvement at all

Not sure, seems like this attack may not have had US backing, for sure the Americans would not have physically stopped the Israelis, but looks like no logistics support. Mind you we can only guess I suppose, last time flightradar was full of US tankers in the region, no nothing is in the air

US Dept. of War delegation onboard flight callsign SPAR (Special Priority Air Resource) now headed to CENTCOM AOR.

Also notable are the following:

RCH884 USAF - Troop Transport out of Germany
WAKE22 - Carrying USMC Fighter Squadron Personnel
RCH1809 - USAF Air Mobility Command C5M Super Galaxy

Even with that though, can the Israelis alone get enough tankers in the air?
Yeah, they will be constrained without US tanker support, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if the US is covertly supporting them with assets located in their bases in Iraq or Kuwait.

Israel does not execute without planning with USA..
rest is lip service

Not sure this time, they have humiliated Trump by totally ignoring him. He will be seething at this. Unsure why he would green light his own humiliation. My guess is we actually may well see a US-Israel rupture here potentially. 3D Chess by Iran. If they make this out to be Israel v Iran as the rest of the world suffers economically, you will see massive US domestic pressure on Trump, already many Republicans are pushing back hard on support for Israel

The UK and Germany both provided their tankers to Israel, to attack Iran in the 12 day war. We only found out about them when some of the tankers forgot to turn off their transponders over Lebanon/Jordan/Syria/Iraq. So, there may be more support being provided to Israel and this time, the countries have become better to hide their direct involvement.

I thought those tankers were to support RAF planes defending Israel against drones, not taking part in actual strikes

Maybe - but I suspect not(imho). I do think the UK was involved in the Genocide in Gaza by providing RAF intelligence planes to overfly, monitor and providing data to the IDF from those planes over Gaza.

The UK Government did say "oh, it was to try and find the hostages only", but there is a fine line between that rationale, and providing intelligence on the local resistance fighters, their operations and bases to the IDF etc.
