Cruise Ships based in the US - News and Discussions

I took Norwegian Jewel (or Pearl?) on a Boston->Bermuda->BarHarbor->Boston cruise.

It was decent. I give it a thumbs up. You can get a bare bones no window room in the hull which is fine since you aren't going to spend much time in it.

Norwegian Jewel Interior Room Tour

Yeah so i hear from people, that others waster extra couple of hundreds for window/balcony rooms, when most of the time people spend the time outside anyway. I will keep an eye for a good deal, if it comes then why not? my main concern is food, i heard some very scary stories of people getting sick due to bad food on cruise ships.

Well when i went to Cancun in the 1990s I was paranoid about food.

I stayed away from uncooked vegetables and fruits...which of course were on these really long tables outside the hotel near the pool...that were so incredibly tempting to grab...you had to stand on the opposite side and use every ounce of willpower in your body to avoid thinking about it...OMG!

But on Norwegian I was not afraid.
