It's so effing obvious that her partner gets killed so she panics, get spooked and shoots an innocent going to her for protection. Women should not be cops, firefighters, soldiers, pastors, professors or allowed to vote. This shooting has been an on-going discussion in another chat group of mine most of the day. Based on what we saw in the released films, it's very clear the Montreal police likely had no training for this type of situation. One of the chat buddies, a retired gunny, even went so far as to suggest incompetence or cowardice played role.

Who knows? Could have been anything. Not the first time someone smart has gone off the deep end. Ted Kacyzinksi for example.

Montreal PD likely to put a news blackout on the officer IDs other than the one who was killed.

For now, I'll stick with my theory the cops had no training in how to respond in a situation like this.
