A short Google search will tell u that
Till March 2025, Pakistan was receving 130-135 Million Acre Feet of water from India via the indus water treaty .

But Pakistan's total storage capacity was around 17 Million Acre Feet of water.

Compared to that Total storage capacity of India is around 210 Million Acre Feet of water , out of which around 42 Million Acre Feet was in Kashmir itself .

India as of now cannot stop the flow of water . We were allowed 34 Million Acre Feet in the IWT , but now we are using around 40-42 MAF
When the monsoon hits Kashmir sometime In July, the flow of water going to Pakistan will rise to 150 MAF from present 125 MAF
and entire Punjab and Sind will go under water because Pakistan forgot to build any Dams since 1970s

The current projects announced by PM Modi will divert another 35 MAF of water .
Whatever Modi says in public, he is not going to completely shut off the tap.

What will happen is that Pakistan will receive an average flow of 90-100 MAF instead of the present flow of 125 MAF

All your problems can be solved if u increase your storage capacity to 50 MAF from present 17 MAF

IWT is most useless treaty between two countries, which country allows 80% of water to flow another country?

Pakistan has done a poor job at storing water. It is tragedy that they did not build dams and moved towards importing LNG and building IPPs so they can get kick backs... Pakistanis should blame the politicians than anyone else.

Please educate us what was the misinformation that was posted.

You don't even use minute percentage of the water that enters your country and waste almost all the water to the sea.

So we will use as much water as needed to feed our people and you will still get many times more than enough water to either feed your people or to waste.(which ever you want to do).

The Indus river alone carries 5 times as much water as India gets from the three rivers combined and there are no plans to divert Indus river, neither can it be diverted or damed.

So your threats be damned. You do you. We will do what is necessary to do feed our people.
