Hi friend, I am not familiar with the local distribution. I think because Viet Nam is the major producer of Google phones so you can buy it at local stores or websites. But beware there is a hack, as Google doesn’t list Vietnam as entity for local distribution so guarantee or support may be limited or nonexistent. I am a fan of Apple. Google or Samsung or others is not on my radar.
Yes, you are right, not a copy.
My guess baes on the Vietnam pact with Russia for license production of Kh35 missile. I think from turbo engines to turbofans is a small step. Same for other modifications. As for radar seeker, missiles use high-frequency pulse in cm or mm to illuminate the target in terminal phase.
I don’t know what radars VCM missiles have onboard, most probably many radars in combo.

That's a myth, Russia never allow Vietnam to do license production of the Kh35, not even in a million years; if it happened, you will hear it flashing across international news channels as big as the Brahmos joint venture to assemble the russian Yakhont missile and even with the brahmos joint venture the russian only deliver the radar seeker and engine to india to assemble, no production. To give you another idea, around early 2010s, the chinese asked Russia for license production of the Tor-m1 missile and they rejected it immediately. Russia does not transfer technologies and that has been their iron clad policy, especially with missiles.Yes, you are right, not a copy.

The vid missed something: Vietnam is the only in ASEAN that is capable to reclaim lands on massive scale.
I think that’s very difficult to impossible to make KCT and VCM missiles without technology transfer from Russia or Israel. Everything needs to start from somewhere. The way of making missile is no different to making car or subway. Or learning French like I do. I need a teacher, school books, training program. No, there was never any technology transfer from the Russian regarding the Kh-35; even the Russian themselves and their news media never mention anything about Kh-35 technology transfer because if it happened like the Brahmos JV with India, their media would have broadcast it across every news channel because it is even bigger than the Brahmos JV for the reason that I have explained in the prior post. Don't assume if you don't even follow Viettel's missile program development from the beginning to make that b.s statement, you are discrediting all their hard work. In this case the Russians probably needed money they were desperate.
No, I don’t follow Viettel from the beginning. No, I don’t discredit the people. I just say my opinions on this forum. You sound like you just want to do a quick import? Let's take a look at the recent arms transactions to see how crucial it is to produce your own weapons just in terms of costs. The Israeli and American have finalized a deal for thirteen 76 mm naval guns for 440 millions usd; that's over 30 million/gun. Otoh, you have Indonesia currently building an LPD for the Philippines for 50 million USD/ship while having to import the Turkish......76 mm gun, not to mention the 30 mm CIWS and 12.7 mm HMG. Let's say the greedy American marks up their costs to arrive at 30 million/gun while Turkey offers the gun for "only" 20 million usd; that's still a big chunk of money flowing out of your pocket. Here at Z-xx factory, Vietnam is building our 76 mm guns with a stealthy copula, and 30 mm CIWS for our A2-A5 ships. No, I don’t follow Viettel from the beginning. No, I don’t discredit the people. Technically it makes no sense to reinvent the wheel. Certainly people can spend years or a decade to develop a missile from the first screw to finish. But I think that’s not effective.
What’s about making more difficult things?
What’s about making submarines or aircraft or destroyers?
By this pace Vietnam won’t see any of them anytime soon.
But I leave this point to you. Viettel made it alone.

I never say “quick import”. Back in old Pakistan defense I promoted to buy more submarines with technology in a package. Having the technology is the key. The US and Israeli military complex is on another level, they play a different league than Philippines or Indonesia. You sound like you just want to do a quick import?
