Gratitude Thread: One thing that made you smile about Pakistan today

Man I am desperate to take this flight to Skardu, even though I am scared of domestic Pakistani airlines :( The views on this flight are among the most incredible in the world.

I think you know from my own travelogue from last summer trip to Pakistan that I took that flight. Memorable experience! Cost me only about $4 extra to book a window seat on the right side of the plane so that I could see the mighty Nanga Parbat on route from Karachi to Skardu. A flight attendant kind of exaggerated that 'foreigners would pay even $100 extra to get the right seat'; he had offered the locals on the flight to pay a bit extra and he would give them the receipt right then, if they wanted the window seat. I didn't see anyone bought those seats while on the plane. LOL.
I, of course, had paid extra while doing online booking in Karachi to get the premium seat to watch the majestic scenery and I think it only cost me about $4 extra. It was a PIA flight. The flight attendant briefly sat besides me and pointed toward various mighty mountains as we neared Skardu. The plane was felt so close to the 26,000+ high Nanga Parbat despite the plane's elevation!!
Magical experience!!

I remember eating ice cream from a vendor in Okara in 1992. His name was Akram Cone Ice Cream. Never again did I taste anything like it in life (something similar in Italy).
Then, in the UK, I have eaten nearly all famous brands, but a simple brand, Gianni's Cornish Cream, tasted similar to Akram's ice cream. I checked the ingredients it was 60% mil and 18% cream.
Then it dawned on me. Akram was using the purest ingredients at that time, and that is why his ice cream was the best.
Nobody is bold and ethical enough to do such a thing today.
