Headquarters not the actually fleet itsel but agree tons and tons of material damage

Yes. But also remember you cannot deploy there a Command center, you cannot deploy there a storage or weapons depot, you cannot moore a meaningful warship there (not bigger than a patrol boat or minesweeper) without risk.
The war is a major shift in the region. Whatever equipment or troops you deploy there will be in the reach of ballistic missiles in few minutes. Even worse. With a combination of Cruise missiles or slow moving drones that can overwhelm any SAM Systems.
Now Irán has taking out americans, it is the time to build a blue water capable navy. IRIN doesn't need a 8.000 tons full size destroyers. Any 4000 tons frigate in size and half dozen units are just enough to ensure naval trading.
 
Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei has officially been appointed as the commander of the IRGC-Navy, succeeding martyr Alireza Tangsiri

Ozmaei previously commanded the 5th Naval Zone of the IRGC, which holds responsibility for patrolling the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormoz

Just an endless sea of Boomer age Commanders. And people think that the IRGC is running out of commanders.

makes sense for continuity of knowledge and operations but these old guys have to start passing the reins to younger generation at some point and ideally before Israel kills them all
 
Iranian Navy suffered a lot of damage

and they took a lot of sustained hits like the Air Force

hope Iran can come back from this

but the biggest weapon Iran had was its ballistic missiles and drones

and that also suffered a lot of damage but at least fought the most

Air Force and Navy had little in this war due to the nature of the conflict

Army was probably the least effected and least used

Iran should now prioritise its budgets to where its most needed and that would be the ballistic missile forces and drone factories

The Iranian Navy has been completely irrelevant. Always has been.
