Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

Pakistan's missile program is primarily built focusing India. Shaheen-3s were built to hit the farthest corner of India and not much needed. We might have 100s of shaheen 1 but only 10 to 20 Shaheen-3. That's my personal assessment.

I think we never procured any weapon system considering Israel. Also shaheen -3 is primarily for nuclear strike. Using it for conventional hits would be extremely expensive. As you are going to waste a millions dollar missile (almost a space rocket) on a single target and given Israel's air defence that could be intercepted.

If Israel vs Pakistan ever happened (unlikely though). Then our best chance is air launched missiles. We already have Taimur missiles (600 KM) that can be launched via JF-17s, J-10Cs. So fighter jets would be refueled over Iran and they will travel till end of Iraq and release their payload and return. This is most efficient way for sustained combat operations. We can definitely developed longer range air launched weapons with upto 1000 KM ranges and can hit Israel from even safer distance. J-35 would really help in strike missions too.

Ballistic missiles are normally used for conventional hits by country who don't have an airforce like Iran. They never invested in their airforce due to sanctions / restrictions. Now any airforce can fly over Tehran without contest. We on other hand are already spending billions of dollars on our airforce, and it gives us capability for both defense and offence.
Oh bhai neither Iran nor Iraq would give us their territory to launch attack on Israel no?

Samething with GCC too......actually forget about GCC they will never allow us to attack Israelis.

Thats why I was asking that what is our option if Israelis hit us, how can we actually retaliate from our own soil?

Hindu low caste Dalit first establish how & Why is Israel gonna attack Pakistan?

Pakistan is currently revamping its nuclear capable missiles. This development explains why the United States has raised alarms regarding Islamabad's missile program, accusing Pakistan of developing increasingly sophisticated technology. Specifically, US officials point to advancements ranging from long range ballistic missile systems to equipment designed for testing significantly larger rocket motors. Why exactly is Pakistan facing accusations over testing these larger rocket motors?

When a country begins ground testing or flight testing significantly larger rocket motors for its missile systems, it is a major indicator of a shift in their military and strategic capabilities. In rocket science, a larger motor fundamentally means more thrust and a longer burn time.
In military terms, that extra power is used for a few very specific strategic goals:

- Extending the missile's range
- Increasing heavier payloads (MIRVs)
- Decoys and countermeasures: Carrying chaff, fake warheads, or electronic jammers to confuse and overwhelm an adversary's missile defense shields
- Transitioning to solid fuel technology: The missiles can sit in a silo or on a mobile truck launcher for years, ready to fire in a matter of minutes. Testing a large solid motor indicates a push toward a highly responsive, survivable second strike capability.
- Powering hypersonic weapons
- Overcoming modern missile defenses:
A larger motor can be designed to burn intensely and quickly (known as a fast burn booster). By burning out rapidly, the missile reaches its top speed while still low to the ground. This makes it incredibly difficult for space based tracking satellites and early warning radars to detect the launch heat signature in time to intercept it during its vulnerable initial launch phase.

Testing a significantly larger rocket motor is rarely just an incremental upgrade. It is a loud signal to rivals that a nation is attempting to alter the strategic balance of power, either by bringing new territories into its striking range or by making its existing arsenal much harder to stop.

It isn't hard to read between the lines. Pakistan is far from idle. Pakistan is fully aware that its strategic delivery systems require continuous modernization. While the Shaheen III remains a formidable missile system capable of neutralizing regional threats, reliance on a few platforms isn't enough. To maintain credible deterrence, Pakistan must continuously diversify and expand its missile arsenal for both conventional and nuclear purposes.
