Lol they attacked Sana'a airport for nothing and now they are facing retaliation shots over nothing

Saudi Arabia humiliated themselves over literally nothing

Why didn't they bombed Hodeidah airport so that the Iranian plane doesn't land? Maybe the plane was too close and the fighter jets were too far from Hodeidah range

Unclear but they shot themselves in the foot

Comparing Iran to the US is apples and oranges - I have already explained why the two differ and there is historical precedent for this.
Not really. In terms of imbalance of power and economy, yes, but it is the brain that sits on top for strategic thinking which matters in any case.
May be the case, but I do empathize with Iran considering they are at war facing conflict on multiple fronts.
I too empathize with them, especially considering they have been the only one putting their necks out for the hapless Palestinians with great costs to themselves!

True, but can we please stop calling India poor country? It's not really poor.
India is poor. It reflects everywhere in their society. Their large GDP may look good on paper but that's the extent of that. Anyway, it is for another discussion.

A valid observation - in fact in his paper on the subject Andre Carvalho a PhD global security analyst actually discusses this very same problem. You can read more about it here if you wish:

I actually admire the Mosaic defense system of Iran. But I don't equate that with a unified chain of command. The Mosaic system is more tactical and could be even strategic if all the decision makers were to be on the 'same page'.

I knew it. @ShapurII

Was this Iranian flight to Yemen a provocation to trap the Saudis ? Very very risky to use a passenger plane like that.

Do you think we have evacuated every military facility in the south of Iran?

It’s a shipyard. So yes it’s evacuated when you aren’t working on ships or using it during a time of war when your enemy has full reign of the waterway and the skies above.

Iran’s drones and CMs and anti naval missiles are fired from deeper inland where they can be better hidden. Its speedboats are spread out and likely using civilian ports to blend in as well as hard rock coves/caves to shelter them from strikes.

The Navy and its capabilities was crushed long ago. So anything on the surface in obvious location must be inferred to be old non working targets that were skipped for targeting for this very reason during the war. Iran never launched a single submarine during the war (that we know of). If it was working or critical it would have been moved in the last 3 months.

What was Saudi thinking? Wasted 10 expensive Storm Shadow bombs on an empty runway to stop a plane which just landed in an adjacent airport instead. And now invited missile strikes on its own airport.

Very stupid.

As long as we have the most unpredictable, lying, unprincipled POTUS Trump sitting in office, no agreement, not treaty, not MOU are worth anything. This is not some deep toughtout American plan: It is one person--a compromised one--acting on his whims. And he unchallenged in the so-called best democracy and the best meritocracy of the world; there are hardly any of the vaunted checks and balances left.

I don't consider Trump 'spiritual' let alone a 'Christian'. The guy is becoming senile on top of his lifelong arrogance and indifference. He actually reminds me of the boy Lord of Eyrie in The Game of Thrones!
more like Joffrey Baratheon
