No, my comment was hypothetical based on a scenario where the US faces a competent adversary, not our Army or the IRGC. My point was that there is no such thing as "well-defended" when you're in the middle of the ocean and your adversary can overwhelm your defenses.

say what you want about disparities in funding, which is obviously true, but the level of incompetence in the army branches is far above anything in the IRGC, which is already high.

especially the IRIN, the most incompetent commanders in the world are concentrated there. first Khanzadi lost half our navy during peacetime, then Irani basically abandoned our entire navy at port and watched them get sunk one by one.

the air force did a little better, and at least carried out one brave attack which killed 6 Americans and injured dozens more, but not much better.

Weren't there large-scale Iranian speedboat and drone exercises meant to show the capabilities for intercepting enemy ships carried out not too long ago?

that is a bit different to saturation missile / drone strikes.

Iran still has a sizeable number of speedboats, and USN ships still do not come closer than 200-300km from Iran's coasts.

I would fire 100 cruise missiles, 1,000 drones and 50 AShBMs at each CSG. Then we will see how well-defended they are. If they succeeded this round, I'd do the same next round. I am on the land with resources to produce more missiles and drones, and they're in the middle of the ocean. Who do you think will win eventually?

What you say is possibly true, however Iran doesn't have the capability to do that

ironically the closest anyone came to carrying out an attack like that against the USN was Ansarallah (Yemen) when they fired dozens of drones and missiles against a US carrier near the Red Sea. think that is when the carrier did a sudden turn to evade the missiles and lost an F-18 jet. but they otherwise downed all the munitions, and performed very well. but clearly there's a limit there and once you cross a certain number of munitions, at least one will get through. but the US is not depleting Iran's assets in that region for nothing, they do it purposefully so Iran cannot pull off such a large attack.

those are aerial escorts which Iran lacks the air defence means to attack. America's naval blockade relies on CSGs in the Arabian Sea at least 300km away from Iran's coasts.

just 200 drones a day at one US base in Bahrain for one week will render the base inoperable for months. better than sending 10-20 drones per base per day with 1-2 impacts per day that damage 1 out of 100-200 buildings per day.

US has moved most of its assets from Qatar to Saudi Arabia.

Iran should make clear that they will target these planes in KSA if KSA doesn't remove them within 24 hours. or just strike them without warning in a serious surprise attack with at least 40-50 ballistics and 200 drones to guarantee a few good hits.

Latest unverified news is that Americans are flying b52's now over iran to conduct strikes. Latest videos even show a massive explosion and lots of secondary explosions using a massive bunker buster strike. If all the above is true and the only thing iran is doing is still firing at gulf states when everything is flying out of israel and us warships, as in strike packages, then i dont know what iran is doing. Hit israel bases packed with american planes since u cant hit their ships.

Otherwise stop blocking hormuz, get back to negotiating and rebuild your country. Period!! You are getting your people killed and making them suffer for absolutely zero benefit!! Your not building a bomb then why r u blocking the strait. If ships pass through Omans water let them. Point is to get your billions and get the sanction relief.

I know people say you cant trust the americnas and israel. NO SHIT. but atleast give yourself time to be able to hit back with over a 100 missiles at israel instead of a few drones. Destroying radars and hitting the same empty bases in arab countries is pointless. Americans have been mostly evacuated from bahrain, UAE and Kuwait.

Iran really needs to have a coherent plan. Either go all out on israel and us ships, or stop firing at ships in hormuz and get your sanction relief and money and negotiate on nuclear material. Since you are a 100% sure of them never invading(i am not a 100%sure) then why are you all making yourselves suffer so much and get bombed day in and day out. Its completely pointless.

If you know there is no invasion, give up the nuclear material and get your sanctions removed.

And if after giving up nuclear material and opening the strait if you ever get hit by them u can always block the strait again. But for now just play it safe man. Rebuild rebuild rebuild.

As far as lebanon is concerned. Forget it. I said it from day 1, this war was also about lebanon, and the lebanese government have sold themselves out. Worry about yourselves now
