Yeah, it’s not possible to reconcile with the MOU wording, at least during the first 60 days.

Or the fact that Oman has every right to do whatever it wants with its waters for whatever reason it sees fit, by law. Even by the MOU Iran would have needed Oman's agreement on whatever future it saw for the Strait. But since it is not directly in the interest of Iran, Oman is now the devil for doing exactly what they have been defending for Iran.

The US out played Iran on the Strait in the MOU, dick move but well played and well within the norms of geopolitics. Someone in Iran then overreacted and put all the rest that they had fought for and achieved in jeopardy.

I guess the anti-ship missiles are not good enough to overcome US naval defenses. Trump has mentioned the Lincoln carrier group fending off attacks many times.

The Gulf countries allowed the US to host bases for their own protection, not for attacks on any other country. How does that make these countries legitimate targets?

And the immense restraint being shown by these Gulf countries is beyond my imagination. However, there will eventually come a time when they start to retaliate. And these Gulf Countries have thousands of Bombs and Missiles for Ground operations using their state of their Air Forces. They can really take the war to Iran when they eventually decide enough is enough......and they can replenish weapons very quickly from all around the globe with the kind of money they have.
