Can we export HGU55 helmets or are these one of those new generation panda helmets compatible with HMDS? I doubt it's the latter.

They likely got them directly from the US. Some sanctions/restrictions have been lifted. They're also buying Leonardo M-346 trainers from the Italians (which use Honeywell engines).

If Azerbaijan's getting the Chinese HMD/S, then the base helmet for those is actually made custom for the pilot. So, if anything, those are probably on order direct from China as more Azeri pilots qualify for the system. IIRC it's similar with the Aselsan TULGAR if they're going with the Turkish HMD/S.

I do wonder if they will at some point also adopt the Erieye ( or wait for Turkish solution ).

Do you think they will be in need of AEWACS ? Given that their next door opponent is a small country which may not even need an aewacs. I think the JF17 aesa radar alone will be able to see through the Armenian airspace.

Armenia even buying F-35 wont change their geography and country size. They will still need to operate within their borders (or azerbaijan when they attack). Aewacs will not help any of them as its not necessary for any of them.

Armenia doesn't have much options, it's size is it's biggest limiting factor

And it's best bet would be A.D, doesn't matter where from and drones in numbers to target Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan similarly has a better chances due to being a bigger state, It also needs to utilise drones to be able to target Armenian infrastructure and A.D

It needs to defend it's A.F and the JF17s,.keep them as far away from Armenian borders as possible, that gives the JF17s the best chance to get into the air and fire stand off weapons against Armenian A.D
