Balochistan Terrorism Watch

Does it matter at this point?.
We're getting f'd there.

It's the same as it's always been, we are a nation of 250 million

Our yearly casualties are in the few hundred

A big difference to a full blown insurgency and what we are dealing with, which is concerted attacks

If it wasn't for the military we would be different to Iraq or Syria and would have collapsed

For example

According to statistics released by the Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), combat-related deaths in 2025 rose 73% to 3,387, compared with 1,950 in 2024. The fatalities included 2,115 militants, 664 security forces personnel, 580 civilians and 28 members of pro-government peace committees (combatants). Militants accounted for about 62% of total combat-related deaths, and their 2,115 fatalities represented the highest annual militant death toll since 2015, when 2,322 militants were killed. Compared with 2024, militant deaths increased by 122%, as 951 militants were killed in 2024.

The year also proved particularly deadly for Pakistani security forces. PICSS recorded 664 security personnel deaths in 2025, a 26% rise from 528 in 2024, and the highest annual figure since 2011, when 677 security forces personnel lost their lives. Civilian deaths increased 24% to 580 in 2025, compared with 468 in 2024, marking the highest annual civilian toll since 2015, when 642 civilians were killed.

The enemy knows turn Pakistanis against its fauj and the country could collapse into provincial ethnonationalism. That's why all their attention is kept on them. The rhetoric and social media all focused on Asim Munir and the military.

A balkanized defanged Pakistan, no more a threat to India and Makkah loses its only nuclear deterence to usher in complete hegemonic supremacy on Indus and beyond.

Thankfully there are over 100 million patriots in Punjab who are willing to carry the rest of Pakistan on its shoulders and is the only true resistance against these designs.
Somewhere some pseudo intellectual rehearsed these terms...
Balkanization, we would had become syria, blah blah ...
Get some new ones.

Apart from the policy failure, there is incompetence and corruption that is chronic among those handling the reigns of power.

Ex Corp Commander Quetta had 300 million embezelled from one of his accounts by his bank contact.

How does a government official run into that amount of liquidity in only one of his accounts?

Guys, please feel free to criticize without resorting to using slurs and vulgar language.

The term Balkanization was first used by an Indian military affairs commentator Rakesh Simha, since then we have seen this word being repeated in multiple documents, reports and articles aimed at destabilizing Pakistan under the soft and fluffy guise of "countering-terrorism" and "promoting liberty", strangely enough all these documents originate from only ONE country... Can you guess which one?

So, if Pakistani commentators wish to highlight this clear and present threat and use the word in context, I don't really see the issue you are taking with the usage of a word. Muhammad Amir Rana a Pakistan based security analyst and winner of the German Peace prize has used this phrase in multiple articles, is he an "pseudo intellectual" too?

Tell the programmers to respect constitution, law, and just basic morality.
I see you are quick to dump the blame on so called "programmers" but lets visit this for a moment, between 2010 and 2025 Balochistan received Rs 2.04 trillion through the NFC Award and an additional Rs 206 billion in loans and grants. The undeniable truth is that Balochistan does not generate enough to sustain itself. Its economy is heavily reliant on financial support from the rest of Pakistan.

The bulk of Balocistan's funds, a staggering Rs 831 billion, comes from the federal government, including Rs 162 billion from gas and oil royalties and Rs 73 billion for development projects.[1]

So, whilst it is right and just that the federal government be held to account, so should the people inside Balochistan's power corridors, that includes the feudal who hold the province hostage with an Iron grip.

How many times will we deflect the failures of these Sardars, Maliks and Nawabs to allow population growth, development and economic security to flourish in lands they consider their own personal fiefdom?

Why is it, that simple facilities like schools and colleges cannot function in the province without the salami and baksheesh of these relics? Why is it that micro business loans given to the most vulnerable in Baloch society to start cottage industries are swallowed up by the sardar's and nawabs and their stooges?

Why is it that the people of Balochistan living in areas rural areas are treated as knaves and vassals of the sardars and nawabs and denied the opportunity to manifest their own destiny?

Now I am not a Punjabi but frankly I find it laughable that the burden of the collective failures of the provincial government, community leaders and tribal leaders of Balochistan is dumped squarely in the lap of Punjab.

The Rs 800 billion flowing into Balochistan come from the revenues generated by other provinces, with Punjab contributing the largest share. Yet, a persistent narrative claims that Punjab is exploiting Balochistan - a claim that is not only misleading but also diverts attention from the real issues.

This convenient rhetoric shifts blame away from local leadership, allowing those truly responsible to evade scrutiny while directing public frustration toward an external adversary. However, facts and figures tell a different story.

Balochistab's governance is a perfect case study of mismanagement, corruption and incompetence. Year after year, billions are allocated for development, yet nothing changes. Roads remain unpaved, schools exist only on paper, and hospitals lack even the most basic medical supplies. I have seen Basic Health Units in SWAT better equipped than most "hospitals" in Balochistan.

All this happens while people of Balochistan struggle for life's basic necessities like clean drinking water, education, healthcare access. Meanwhile their self-styled leaders live a life of unimaginable luxury in sprawling mansions and sending their own spawn
abroad to study at Ivy league universities.

While the people struggle for necessities like clean water, education, and healthcare, their self-styled leaders live in luxury, building sprawling mansions and leading extravagant lifestyles.

This money that is meant for public welfare and development of the province vanishes into a bottomless pit of patronage politics, tribal favoritism and entrenched corruption. The people in power use state resources to solidify their own foundations rather than uplift the province.

But they are not capable to learn so big accident shall happen.
Before you dump the collective malba of "accidents" happening and "Learning" how about you look at the root causes of Balochistan's failure to uplift itself first.
