If the US doesn't supply the engine, they will lose Turkey; they cannot risk this.

Do you think Turkey is not focusing on its own engine!

Why? USA can continue to supply F16, and maybe F35.

why a half generation gained ?
It will be a miracle if you succeed in copy & paste F110.

Even F-110 is superior to French M-88 Engine

And TF-35.000 is 5th gen engine to compare with old technology 4th gen F-110 Engine

TF-35.000 : YES
F-110 : NO

2 -- Power and Thrust
TF-35.000 : 35.000 lbf
F-110 : 29.000 lbf

3 -- Advanced Materials and Stealth
TF-35.000 : Utilizes high-temperature resistant superalloys, advanced thermal barrier coatings, and innovative cooling technologies.

F-110 : Built primarily with older metallurgy, utilizing standard titanium and nickel alloys

Pilot Health Tracking

They will not lose Turkey. Turkey will be disgruntled but will suck it up. The US knows this.

Turkiye will get both the F-35 and F-110 Engines ...

1 -- F-110 engines approved by Congress.
2 -- Congress is not involved in the F-35 process

İf Russian SU-57 and Chinese J-35 are 5th gen Fighters
then KAAN with the interim F-110 Engine 5th gen Fighter too

If Russia's Su-57 and China's J-35 are accepted into the 5th gen club despite their engine limitations, the KAAN belongs there too

With the TF-35.000 5th gen engine KAAN will become true 5th gen Fighter

and KAAN will become 5,5th gen Fighter with some features belonging to the 6th gen ( full data-to-decision (D2D) capability , MUM-T , Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration and DIRCM )

6th gen is currently a bit watery lacking keen distinction between 5th and 6th gen. overall when deciding what is 5th and 6th gen i would only concentrate on physical characteristics that are hard to change/improve
