I loath the Wahhabis however the House of Saud historically have been slow, methodical and think things through. This sudden provocation and conflict over Yemen is not how they operate and in the short term all this actually plays into the Houthi/Iranian hands. Why are you surprised…. They are under pressure to act tough , now this war just show the reality to their citizens , ksa is not regional power , they have same status as UAE , Qatar , Kuwait , Bahrain , just the westerns pawn .I loath the Wahhabis however the House of Saud historically have been slow, methodical and think things through. No something else is going on here or being plotted.
Calm before the storm

Can USN come to Red Sea to protect KSA from Yemeni attack??Iran's second main card after Strait of Hormuz being played now, attempting to close Red Sea area via Houthi's
It will drive up barrel above $100 again but question after that what cards does Iran have to play ? There will be a counter response and with more interceptors being depleted Naval wars will intensify and so will trade of blows until this ultimately ends up with ground conflicts in parts of region, imo.
Arabian Peninsula has seen worse times and doesn't need USA. They started out as small tribes originally with people mocking them. Can USN come to Red Sea to protect KSA from Yemeni attack??
