Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

I have similar fears, reflection is a great thing. When I first heard of the pact I was very happy. But in a weird way now it feels like an entrapment. The other thing which bothers me is the Saudi's always give the US and western nations hard cash for men and material, but for Pak I only ever read about more soft loans, oil facilitates which need to be paid for later.

Maybe there are cash payments going on in the background, but its not being reported or leaked so until it is, this pact longer term could become a drag.
Atleast make the terms public. Pakistani peoples deserve to know i think, because there future will be impacted by it.

He has but his ego has a master override to it all.

I did an entire analysis of his psyche for the PTI fanboys to help them understand their leader better but unfortunately cultist for all sides will never see past it.

Long story short, this pact was damned if you do it, damned if you dont choice.
Will appreciate if you could please share that analysis.

This is something you should have asked your parents long ago. Not me. I am just a random, stranger, nobody. I dont matter. But lack of attention from your parents seems to have put scars on your personality.

Dude, you say this thread is pointless but always seem to be on here, now you drag in my parents, do you want to contribute or derail? Think about that for your next response

Interesting, Saudis have options and after defence pact with Pakistan China looking more attractive I imagine

Saudis will not taking thus laying down, big question now is if Pakistan joins the retaliation. Up until now Saudi ships have also been struck but no Pakistani ships have been harmed. Bit of a dilemma

Saudis have good relations with both Russia and China, Russia has a delicate balancing act to plan on the region due to maintaining a positive relationship with both UAE and KSA both having rival geopolitical goals and thoughts on the regional conflicts including the issue of Palestine.

China on the other hand has been cooperating with KSA of defence for some time now.

One of KSA's "vision 2030" includes plans to localize 50% of the kingdoms military equipment and production. To this end KSA has entered into strategic relationship with China for drone production and other more exotic weapon systems including a Wing loong UAV factory to produce the Wing Loong 3 locally, missile defence systems and an alleged BM program located here:

KSA has options on the table to explore beyond the US offer that's for sure as it seems to deepen ties with other great powers on the world stage.

Make no mistake, KSA acquiring even a civilian nuclear program purely for peaceful purposes would result in a regional nuclear race because of regional rivalries. The US, China and Russia know this, but ultimately nations will do what is in their own best interest, just like we should continue to do what is in ours, within our means and orbit.

Yes and then again wait for houthi response to saudi response... haha lets hope that this time it wont be 8-9 years like last time, to find out that which side has more endurance.

Well put it in perspective, Houthis are only hitting small towns very near border of Yeman, Saudis will hit everywhere in Yeman. Here people are celebrating one Arab country attacking civilians in another Arab country.

Saudis air tio ground fighter fleet is massive. If this is a conventional conflict you can kiss goodbye to any Yeman military infrastructure. I am not saying Saudis will make them surrender, but they will go from an conventional military to just a light infantry militia, like Hezoallah, still a threat but with no assets.

Also who knows, this time PAF may get involved too.
