Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

The U.S. was not bombing major cities like Tehran or Esfahan, not conducting assassination ops, and only rarely struck missile cities.

Israel will do all of those things plus more.

The best thing Israel ever did was those Assassination ops. Killing pacifists like Shamkhani, Larijani, and Khamenai Sr, as well as old stuck in their ways Generals allowed the system to reinvent itself. Killing Iranian civilians to teach the population that Israel and America don’t give a shit about brown people or their Freedom.

The best thing that can happen for Iran is for Israel to re enter this war. Because even then reformists like Zarif and Rouhani and pragmatics like Qalibaf won’t be safe as Israel tries to decapitate the entire system.

You need to be a lot more appreciate of the positive consequences that Israel’s attacks had on Iran. It could have been a lot worse if many of these former officials were still alive and running the country.

U.S. has over 600 air refuelers in its arsenal. You think even hitting 20 of them inside Israel would do anything long term? If war was about causing kinetic damage, then US would have won the first week.

Iran isnt going on the offensive because its stockpiles are also running low. It needs time to rebuild and adapt and get more missile bases back in operation for the next round.

The U.S. is the one on the clock, they have to finish this conflict ideally by September. Tomorrow we will get latest SPR oil reserve numbers and it’s likely to have dropped another 5-8 million barrels bringing it down to about 300M barrels. Once the reserve hits 250M , Trump won’t be able to talk down oil prices. And once it nears 200M barrels then All hell starts to break loose.

I for one think Iran should crash the global economy and not stop. Iran’s economy was crushed with the approval of China, Russia, Arabs, Turkey, Pakistan, India and the west for 15 years. So why shouldn’t the world also face economic calamity? The world should suffer just like Iranians did for years.

That’s the problem I have with Iranian leadership is they are too soft and won’t go for the jugular of the world economy. Not because they don’t bomb a few more fancy toys in a military that spends 1.5 trillion dollars a year.
I heard the SPR starts failing at 300M barrels.

Killing Iranian civilians to teach the population that no Israel and America don’t give a shit about brown people or their Freedom.

I don’t agree. Those are senior military and political officials with decades of expertise that we have lost and cannot be replaced easily. Vahidi is no Mousavi or Bagheri.

@Ali_Baba

Seems likely to be public consumption signalling to suppress oil prices, right? The pattern of fluctuations is evidence enough.

Iran should probably ignore all this and make assumptions purely from sound intelligence.

Agree. Iran should keep its foot on the throat of the straits of Hormuz in place though and see how things play out.

References to lots of jets/planes destroyed on the ground. Difficult to make out how close to reality it is.

They are not likely to have large stockpiles anymore of ALBMs and are low like US has done on interceptors like Arrow 3, as reported in their media and Iranian missiles started getting through by late March/early April.

Iran needs to fire missiles daily at the Zionist entity if it wants to really hurt it and achieve deterrence.

It can probably get down to 250M, but after that you are probably doing damage to the caverns and oil traders will realize there is no backstop anymore as US will have to wind down supporting the oil market and that means 1-2MBPD of oil will no longer be added. And if Bab Al Mandeb goes from 4-5MBPD down to 2MBPD then that’s another massive shock with no absorber.

So I don’t think the U.S. is pausing because of “munition depletion”. I think US is pausing because they realize if they go thru with this escalation they have to be ready for 2-3 more months of fighting with dwindling oil reserves and an economy that is already on shaky ground as bond yields have been steadily rising.

I don’t agree. Those are senior military and political officials with decades of expertise that we have lost and cannot be replaced easily. Vahidi is no Mousavi or Bagheri.

Vahidi was a key engineer in the PM Hariri Sr assassination in Lebanon and Iran’s external operations around the world in the 1980s and 1990s, Vahidi has done more high risk operations in his life than most of those pencil pushers you said like Bagheri or Salami or Shamkhani.

Most of these guys were from an old era of warfare fighting that doesn’t exist anymore or maybe never existed. And they had a tendency to waste too many human lives. Solemani against ISIS in Iraq and Al-Queda Syria, still used human wave tactics. There needed to be a changing of the guard sooner or later. Iran is the only major military in the world that has 70-80 year old generals still leading the charge.

Also Bagheri got transferred to head Artesh and did nothing. No modernization of Artesh took place. Not even some manpad orders. Instead he went to Russia and looked at some *checks notes* attack helicopters.

Why not hit Telaviv / Israel when its bases are most actively supporting US war? Also every soul in the planet knows that whole architect / mastermind of this war was Israel.
Because Muslim territories including Saudi are hosting anti ballistics which track and intercept the missiles for Israel before they reach it.

In such circumstances, if we get weak in the knees and can't back up our insane and ridiculous rhetoric, then moving on, we need to just pave the way into having better relations with everyone, including the US and Israel. It's obvious that the leadership does not have the stomach for a prolonged conflict, nor do they want to escalate. It's time we stop with this idiotic "Marg bar Amrika" chant and just learn to live in peace with the rest of the world instead of acting like this tough guy who's ready to go berserk at any moment.
There's really no going back, the west won't even accept an Iranian surender. The eu will never invest in Iran, macron already said it will not agree to UN sanctions removal unless Iran is completely disarmed and helpless. If trump removes us sanctions the next president will probably put them back on. The goal is a "Libya" style slave market without a real government while they occupy resources. When narco rubio went to europe and said colonialism is back on, he didn't say it for nothing.

Ohh so it's OK for the mods to do personal insults. Got it.

Can you tell me how Jordan attacked iran? Please go ahead enlighten me.
Radars that track and destroy ballistics targeting Israel are being destroyed in Jordan. Why are you crying over those? Do you want to protect Israel?

The biggest surprise of this war is that Israel had more missiles than both the U.S. and Iran.

Iran should be ashamed at the stockpile of ALBMs that Israel was able to produce (thousands) with less time and no headstart. Iran has been mass producing BMs since 2000 and really mass producing since 2007-2010.

Very very sensitive post. I take back everything I said about you lol.

You understand human psyche much better than most people. Those obscure abstract ideas that most people missed or can’t comprehend. The killing of senior leaders open the spigot for the more aggressive commanders who were stuck behind the elders who wouldn’t or couldn’t get out of the way. In a way Israel did Iran a massive favor.
