If Iran was pre-empting the US then they would attack multiple US bases. Not just one.

Negotiations are a ruse to buy time. Remember it is orange under the clock not Iran, which is why he's trying to pull a hard bargain in the interim, for midterms, flow of oil and bond yields. Both orange and Mileikowsky face elections... clown of kyiv has already created a work around that...
Orange loss means US cutting the cord for zion and Miliekowsky's loss will draw in a more radical choice...
What are Iran's choices here?

The first line of defense is Jordan... and once that is depleted it will expose the home front like never before... enter clown of kyiv and war expands... and that is what I feel US is heading towards as no one else takes the bite.... the proxies in Mideast have probably taken enough beating to drop them down a notch.
