US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

If you think Iran would be escalating as much as it is with only 2000 missiles, then I really don’t know what to say to you….

It is Iran who is expanding the conflict right now.
Funny thing is what America has been doing for the past few weeks is really nothing compared to the over month of bombing between Israel and America and those Arab countries that were assisting in those bombing quietly these past few weeks haven’t been anything in comparison and Iran with limited ability to fire missiles without being caught in the open have had a lot more success than the previous rounds of fighting hitting high value targets im curious as hell what they hit in Jordan to piss him off if they hit a high value target or target might have been f 35 they have observed or been told about(just me throwing it out there I have no actual facts to back it up until we see satellite photos)

Imagine for a second if the backward and incompetent Iranian regime had not helped actively destroy the region since 1979 through opportunistic meddling, terrorism, creation of proxy groups, fifth columns, sectarianism, active support for some of the most brutal dictators in the modern era (Al-Assad regime) etc? Would we even be in this situation today? And for what exactly? What did they accomplish in almost 50 years of rule within Iran itself or the region?

Abdul Qadeer Khan sold nuclear secrets to Iran and they could not take advantage of that. It took them 36 years to fully build their sole nuclear power plant that started back in 1975 - when the Shah (Iran) was the main US ally in the region and main regional ally of Israel!

Now run by Russians to this day.

Israel (the fake pretext that they have used as an excuse to create their mostly now destroyed/severely weakened network of terrorist proxy cults) has only expanded since 1979 and they never attacked it even 1 single time during that time until Israel itself started carpet bombing them and killing their leadership.

Are Iranians really this retarded that they want such a regime to represent them and believe that this is their only solution of trying to advance as a country and pursue their own geopolitical interests?

Of course the answer is well-known for everyone - the Iranian regime does not enjoy majority support in Iran which is why 1000's of Iranians (protestors) were mass-murdered as recently as January 2026 and why the Iranian regime is executing protestors on a daily basis. Same reason why there has been massive protests and unrest almost every single year since 2009.

Not to mention internal insurgencies from minorities - some decade old and yet to be fully extinguished.

What a mess they have turned themselves into largely thanks to a retarded regime and their internal and external policies.

Nothing against ordinary non-hostile Iranians (let alone the millions of Iranian Arabs) but no need to write a novel about something that everyone with a working brain can see.
Bit rich. You coming from a nation that hijacks citizens like Kashoggi and chops him
Into 100 pieces. Are you one to talk about regimes and post lies about 1000s of executions. I have given you enough wide berth to talk about the conflict but 1 more nonsense post like that and you will be banned.

Bro They have 800+ F35s with 1000+ more planned.
That thingy is normal for US.But 5 missiles Iran launched yesterday were all intercepted as recorded in footage.
Never said it was true and I guess you didn’t see the impact so one got in they posted it on Iranian thread and I posted it for one of the few Americans left here I totally agree America has plenty of f 35 doesn’t mean in case they do lose 1 or a dozen(if they haven’t already) is no big deal

If true, and assuming if it's true, it's barely even a dent in the U.S. Numbers.
Agree but I don’t think trump would want any of his fancy toys blown up and it would piss him off if they did blow up(assuming he actually even cares it’s more about his ego at this point I guess)but I don’t want people to get sidetracked here no evidence of what was struck(if anything at all could have been an empty hanger or empty building for all I know)

Yaar, if Iranians are allowed to mouth off about the Saudis then surely Saudis can do likewise?

He makes some good points, look at all the proxies the Iranians have sponsored in the region. Just because the Iranians attack Israel it does not make them angels. Likewise as you say, Saudis by no means innocent. Both as bad as each other to an extent, but only one has consistantly supported Pakistan.

Bro every other post is suggesting "stupid" or "retard" shia this - shia that - making it sectarian. Im not having it.
I can handle critisism or patriotism but the one trick pony rants are getting monotonous.
I am no Iran fan - they are making howling mistakes but as a moderator one tries to be objective and it aint easy......

Is there a reason why the Iranian regime refrains from targeting US/NATO bases in Turkiye next door?

Türkiye

  • No foreign base exists on Turkish soil.
  • Every facility (Incirlik, Kürecik radar, etc.) is Turkish sovereign territory.
  • Foreign forces are there only under Turkish permission, via joint-use agreements.
  • Türkiye can restrict, suspend, or terminate access at any time.
  • Turkish officers command the base; US/NATO personnel operate under Turkish oversight.
In short: They are not US bases. They are Turkish bases with US/NATO presence.

Saudi Arabia & Gulf States

  • Many facilities are built, operated, and controlled by the US.
  • Host nations often grant exclusive-use rights to the US military.
  • Command structure is US-led, not joint.
  • Local sovereignty is limited inside those compounds.
In short: They are actual US bases, not joint bases.

Same thing applies to KSA. There are no foreign bases in KSA or US foreign bases. US uses the Saudi Arabian Prince Sultan Air Base.

Same exact concept like the Incirlik base.

Point being is that they have only targeted Turkiye 1 or 2 times. Same way that they largely refrain from targeting KSA despite KSA being the main hub for the USAF in the region outside of Turkiye and Israel.

They prefer targeting tiny Bahrain and Kuwait (ineffective) which does not prevent those nations from continuing to host US forces that directly target Iran. Yesterday US forces fired ATACMS and HIMARS missiles at Iran directly from Kuwait openly. They have done this on numerous occasions.

If Kuwait was afraid or they were really struggling, they would not have continued their policies. Even small GCC states have attacked Iran directly on numerous occasions.

The Iranian regime have failed in every way.

If the Iranian regime claims to want the "Great Satan" to leave the region why are they not targeting the Turkish bases that host US soldiers and even US nuclear weapons? Such as Incirlik Base (which is one of the largest in the region)? Can they only target empty bases in Kuwait and tiny Bahrain and hotel rooms?

Why are they not targeting Azerbaijan next door (barely) which is one of the closest allies with Israel in the region and buying and hosting Israeli weapons and intelligence assets? Israel likely killed Raisi from Azerbaijan using Israeli intelligence assets deployed there.

The many contradictions of the incompetent Iranian regime.

Alliance vs. Client-State Relationship

Türkiye is a NATO ally. It has treaty‑level equality with the US.It can disagree, veto, block, or refuse — and the alliance framework allows it.

Gulf states are US security clients. Their militaries, air defenses, and even maintenance pipelines depend on the US.They cannot realistically deny the US access without risking their entire security architecture.

Sovereignty Structure of Bases

Türkiye:

  • All bases are Turkish sovereign territory.
  • US forces are guests under Turkish command oversight.
  • Türkiye can legally shut down access, restrict missions, or suspend operations.
Gulf states:

  • Many bases are US‑controlled compounds.
  • The host nation often has limited operational authority inside.
  • The US has near‑total freedom of movement and mission planning.
A Gulf state cannot “deny access” to a base it does not fully control.

Military Dependency

Türkiye:

  • Builds its own drones, ships, missiles, jets, engines.
  • Has independent logistics, maintenance, and defense industry.
  • Can operate without US support.
Gulf states:

  • Rely on US contractors for aircraft maintenance.
  • Rely on US for air defense operation.
  • Rely on US for training, spare parts, and mission planning.
  • Without US support, their air forces would be grounded within weeks.
You cannot deny access to the country that keeps your air force flying.

Its different. Lets not pretend otherwise.
