Seems you love modern infrastructure of China, Japan, Korea so these are perfect countries for you....

Personally I look at culture and cuisine. I think Korean cuisine is a lot closer to Turkish one, than say Chinese or Indian.
And yes, I am aware of Turkic influence in Indian cuisine, but still.

And I have never met anyone say "I want to visit China or India" in my life.

China is for those tourists who loves modern cities, want to travel in bullet trains, want to see big beautiful malls and overall infrastructure.....

India is for those who loves natural beauty of coastal karnataka, kerala backwaters, beautiful Goa, beautyful hills of Kashmir, ladakh, uttarakhand, sikkim, beauty of meghalaya or Andaman and nicobar islands and Lakshadweep or want an adventurous jungle safaris in tadoba, Jim Corbett, Gir forests, sunderbans and many other places....

China is blessed with infrastructure and modern facilities whereas India is blessed with nature beauty.... no comparison....

Lots of stereotypes and generalization on this thread.

There are broadly 4 types of tourists in India-
1. Exploring "real" India as these videos call it I.e. travelling in general coaches/eating from shady roadside outlets and basically not spending anything.

2. Historical tourism gets the most tourists. Forts in Rajasthan, Maharastra etc. Meharangarh in Jodhpur is huge af and the forts in Deccan are a beauty. Taj Mahal and the rest of the day monuments are covered under this.

I did my UG in Jodhpur and foreign tourists are a common sight near the old city area and around monuments across Rajasthan in general. Udaipur is the most popular tourist location from what I've seen.

3. Then there are adventure safari trips, mountaineering, desert safari, Himachal trekking, climbing etc.

4. Latter is the cultural and spiritual part of tourism. Osho resort in pune, Auroville etc.

So depends on what you're looking for.
