Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

The in-flight Indian movies are for the Indian passengers who make up a lot of the traffic on international routes. Similarly the Indian films being exhibited in US cinemas are exclusively for Indian clientele.

Netflix has been searching for new markets and has heavily invested in India, hence the Netflix produced Indian content now on the platform.

I would not worry about Bollywood's effect on the US at the moment, the content is too mediocre and alien to attract US audiences. Add in the increasingly Hindutva flavor and it's an additional turn off.

Another fortunate turn is the poor reputation of Indian news and social media which they continously enhance themselves, like the recent false Indian claims about Iran going nuclear.

India is a long long away from building softpower around the world like Japan or South Korea have recently done.

Yes for now their media is rising in production quality but story wise it's still trashy propaganda, still very 'paindu'. Over the top off putting levels of Hindutva. Very jarring even for Indians themselves.

But practice makes perfect and at some point they may figure out how to make it subtle.

Like that show Homeland. Remember how they used to depict Pakistan?

Have you not seen their latest Bhakt & Fishbed: Himalayan Drift caper that is being ridiculed all over social media?

Should we only be worried about it when it will be too late ?

I’m noticing since few years that even in non netflix series Pakistan is in someways linked to bad guys who travelled there, met some others radical Muslims, etc.. the brainwashing has already started.

Pakistanis are always late to everything.
Indians are actually early to many ideas - but struggle with implementing some better than others.

For e.g the culture in their media industry is to move fast and provide output and you see it.

The culture historically with their defense procurement and implementation was slow and bureaucratic - they have been working very hard to improve it post Sindoor and surprises are in play for Pakistan

Not to mention the millions of Indians who now reside in the USA.
Here in the UK they tried selling Bollywood to the majority population who turned around and said they couldn't relate to any of it.
The only ones who consume it are other Indian content are Indians or some Pakistanis who dream of a union with their brothers across the border (yes they exist).

Saar its crabbing maneuver invented by IndiAand air force.
Ji, mai nay bhee aik LIVE maneuver daikha tha in November last year a few 100 feet away away from me at the DxB Air Show.

Didn't end to well. And there weren't any mountains around over there.

Ye thrills bus Bollywood tak he hain - which for most Indians is Documentary.

Yaar I think on this issue we can relax for the time being. Just look at this Indian drama clip, with such crap standards they are 50 years away from appealing to non-Indians.

If you say a lie 100 times, people will start believing it. Thats the reality of bollywood. It doesnt matter how we do on the field as long as we keep loosing in the information warfare.

It is actually important since India is pushing that film through streaming channels, with WB india behind it.

So if a fictional account starts being pushed ad authoritative documentary by Nat geo, Discovery , History channels - then your overall perception drops.

Keep in mind that your ikhwan are EASILY impressed with anything that has a western tab on it -

You could potentially have a Pakistani come in and provide them a tailored air combat deployment strategy that takes into account every aspect of their environment and operational restraints - and they would hum it off - while a western guy can come in with 5 lightly changed random slides and they will start chanting “Mumtaz”
Only goes to show the importance to 'historic opportunities'. Pakistan put its sweat and blood to gain the technological and tactical advantage, got the opportunity to shoot down the bulk of IAF Rafales but relented to 'avoid escalation'. I believe the Air chief did not have the clarity whether he could take such an action the may escalate things right off the bat. Another Abhinandan episode or better would have shut Indian big mouths for another 5 years....
