It can gradually scale up just like the raptor engine. And they are not the only one as China's Long March 9 methalox engine is currently at 240 tons, and it will also be scaled up.

Also about the efficiency, the raptor has been scaled up to the third generation, yet it has been able to send an orbital payload, let alone a selenocentric payload.

Once the LandSpace and other companies are launching their own version of Starship, they certainly won't launch dozen times of sub-orbital firework like Musk is doing right now.
