J-10C is offered to a lot of countries so I don't see it as critical technology. I was thinking more in the machine tooling technology and EV production technology that China wants to hold close to their chest.
J-10C is a good jet fighter and proven one but China won't sell J-16Ds or fifth gen to Bangladesh as those are backbone fighters for China. Someday maybe but not right away.

BD is well within its rights to use the Pakistani bogeyman as counterweight in their Bangladesh First narrative with India.

If the Saudis want Bangladesh in, they will be in.

Possibly Saudi financial assistance to buy toys.

And of course Bangladeshi commitment towards Saudi security.

Would be mutually beneficial.

The other aspect as I mentioned is if India creates problems for Pakistan due to her husband, a strengthened Bangladesh would divert Indian resources.

Agreed. Much of what you've said here about the technical, technological, and supply chain aspects of the union is what creates the real consternation in the high thronerooms of Delhi.

... But it is also a fact that India cannot invade and occupy Bangladesh. It's not easy to subdue a hostile population of 170 million, when you have other fronts to worry about. If they stir up something, it will spill into India. They don't have appetite for it.

Is there an example of this?

I am aware that India invaded East Pakistan in 1971 but I've never heard of an invasion from East Pakistan / Bangladesh of any part of India.
