I agree offense is better than defense or denial but in your case you still don't have that sort of advantage over India the way you have over Afghanistan.... even. J35 won't guarantee you any victory over India... rest I agree that such procrastination by IAF is one day going to pay it heavily when it comes to casualities against some bigger power....

If you dont have any air cover, S-400s can and will be targeted and if a JF-17 managed it J-35s will have an easier job, and if we get real time sat targeting help from China (which Indian CDS claimed was the case) you can imagine once those S-400s have gone and Rafales are hiding it will be much much easier for PAF to obtain air superiority over North West India. Aim is not to take over all of India, no one needs that shit, but effectively clearing air space 300-400km from Pakistan will give our army all the breathing space it needs.

Stealth is sought after globally for a reason, it is a game changer, and unfortunately for India, the chaps who make the J-35 have owned and operated the S-400 for almost 10 years. There is no mythical "bigger power" for IAF to face. China no longer considers India a viable military threat, Pakistan can spare planes and SAMs for the Middle East, that is how worried we are about IAF....

If nothing changes in Indian side, you will be f**ked, a schoolboy can work that out....

If JF-17 could not hit a single S-400 when there were only two units (zero evidence released by Pakistan of S400 being hit proves this), the chances of hitting S-400 when there will be 10 units (by the time J-35s arrive) will be bleak for even J-35
