Indian Air Force News and Discussions ll

Yes, and that is the fundamental weakness here, if air defence is "outsourced" to SAMs that leaves troops vulnerable. Pakistan will not have to worry about it's armoured formations being attacked from the air (drones will always be a problem granted)
Relax and sit down.... you are not America and you are not going to attack a country like Lebanon.... worry about saving your rear from Brahmos, rampage, stormshadows and soon hypersonic missiles first....

PAF is very relaxed, the kill ratio speaks for itself.

My point is denial does not equate to control, by relying heavily on SAMs India is conceding much of the battle space dimension to Pakistan.

Low flying choppers can go hunting as their will be no Indian jets to worry about

I agree offense is better than defense or denial but in your case you still don't have that sort of advantage over India the way you have over Afghanistan.... even. J35 won't guarantee you any victory over India... rest I agree that such procrastination by IAF is one day going to pay it heavily when it comes to casualities against some bigger power....

If you dont have any air cover, S-400s can and will be targeted and if a JF-17 managed it J-35s will have an easier job, and if we get real time sat targeting help from China (which Indian CDS claimed was the case) you can imagine once those S-400s have gone and Rafales are hiding it will be much much easier for PAF to obtain air superiority over North West India. Aim is not to take over all of India, no one needs that shit, but effectively clearing air space 300-400km from Pakistan will give our army all the breathing space it needs.

Stealth is sought after globally for a reason, it is a game changer, and unfortunately for India, the chaps who make the J-35 have owned and operated the S-400 for almost 10 years. There is no mythical "bigger power" for IAF to face. China no longer considers India a viable military threat, Pakistan can spare planes and SAMs for the Middle East, that is how worried we are about IAF....

If nothing changes in Indian side, you will be f**ked, a schoolboy can work that out....

If JF-17 could not hit a single S-400 when there were only two units (zero evidence released by Pakistan of S400 being hit proves this), the chances of hitting S-400 when there will be 10 units (by the time J-35s arrive) will be bleak for even J-35

Worry about your silicon valley and industrial centers wiped out from under your smelly arse.....

Indeed it does.
6 PAF casualties (incl one officer) vs 01 IAF casualty (medical asst.)
True - casualties occur when people fight - not run away and hide in bunkers 500 miles away - or simply refuse to accept casualties or make up fantasies about shooting airplanes down.

Completely designed, developed and manufactured by private sector. Probably the first such weapon under user trials.

Russian AFs have been dropping them at very high rates throughout 2026. Monthly nos exceeded 8k in both June and July more than 250 a day on average with some single days exceeding 300-390. Most are older Soviet FAB bombs fitted with relatively cheap UMPK-style glide and guidance kits. Russians drop them from Su-34s so staying well behind the densest Ukrainian ADs.

Only if their Okhotinks and HALE drones existed, they could do this with them as well. Which is why CCAs become important to generate sorties for cheap.

This number circus isn't exactly new with them lol. They were doing this shit long before spreadsheets were even a thing.

1971 is probably the funniest example. War ends and 22 of those French deltas get wheeled out for the photo. Then the explanation comes... we only had 24, one crashed before the war and another one is sitting inside for repairs. So 22 are here, zero combat losses. Simple 😂

Except the French apparently had a slightly different memory of how many jets they actually sold them. Their records put it closer to 28.

Now that's where it gets funny. If 28 were actually delivered, how the hell did the starting number suddenly become 24 after the war? Those extra 4 just evaporated somewhere between France and the post war counting apparently lol.

That's why I don't really bother taking these neat kill/loss numbers at face value anymore.
