TF-X / KAAN / Hürjet Turkish Fighter & Trainer Aircrafts News & Discussions

If there is going to be 2 engines, it will need a completely new design. Lets see how it plays out, I've seen several proposals, Hurjet naval like a tejas type design, Naval KAAN, new 2 engine medium fighter like KF-21, it could be a drone solution like Kizilelma for all we know..

I think Turkey should go for a French style catapult solution and make a Naval KAAN. It will be big like the J-15, but with Catapults, I think it will be worth it, and then supplement it with drones whether like Kizilelma or CCA, sort of like a command aircraft.

Is it ok to post the link to another defense website defencehub dot live where some Turkish posters have discussed the 2 x TF-10000 Hurjet-X idea ? The thread also has an excellent image of the plane, is it ok to post it here? This plane can be great for a lot of countries who do not want to spend too much money on capex and operation, and also get MUM-T feature on the cheap. It can also be merged with JF17 PFX program.

Pakistan should abandon the J‑35. Since both Pakistan and Turkey are Muslim‑majority countries, it should support its brother‑nation and instead seek to procure the Kaan fighter jet.

Back then, Pakistan reportedly transferred technologies related to the JF-17 Thunder, jointly developed by China and Pakistan, to Türkiye, providing significant support for the development of Türkiye’s aerospace industry. This reportedly caused dissatisfaction in China and led China to restrict and delay the delivery of J-35 fighter jets to Pakistan.

If that is indeed the case, Pakistan should continue sharing relevant J-10C technologies with Türkiye, further supporting the aerospace industry of its fellow Muslim brotherly nation and contributing to the broader Muslim world.

At present, China and the United States have pulled far ahead of Europe in a number of areas of military technology. Because Türkiye is a NATO member, it is difficult for it to obtain advanced technologies directly from China. As a Muslim country and an important bridge between China and the Muslim world, Pakistan should make full use of its unique position by transferring more advanced technologies acquired from China to Türkiye, thereby helping its Muslim brother country strengthen its defense industry.

For example, Pakistan could discreetly transfer to Türkiye technologies related to China’s PL-15 air-to-air missile, as well as advanced technologies involving fighter-jet radars, fighter engines, and other defense systems.

Only USA and China produces EMALS in the world
and EMALS costs for $1,2 billion .... ( We can build TCG TRAKYA amphibious assault Ship for $1.2 billion )

With the necessary modifications in place, it is technically possible for the KAAN Fighter Jet to take off from 300 m MUGEM Aircraft Carrier

If KAAN could take off only in stealth mode, carrying air to air missiles in its internal weapon bays, it would significantly reduce the Aircraft's takeoff weight

KAAN to carry air to air Missiles for air to air combat
KIZILELMA-C to carry Cruise/Anti-Ship Missiles for air to surface strike

Navalized KAAN and KIZILELMA-C to operate together for the Navy

What why does the J-35AE worry you Rakesh ?

Come on Rakesh - this is absolute HORSE SHIT .....

Pakistan should buy the J-35AE because I must inform you Rakesh, it worries the India soooo much and that is worth it alone since India has no immediate response to the J-35AE..

Pakistan can do both, as a high low package. Let KAAN develop, it will become more of a command aircraft directing CCAs and other drones like Kizillema, while the J-35 fits as a stopgap till then and is also able work independently.

It doesn't have to be EMALS, you can build steam catapults.

but if one is building proper Aircraft carriers, CATOBAR is a must, whether the french design or the Chinese design or the US design. You cannot launch aircraft with significant munitions off a STOBAR carrier, its one of the failures of the Russian design, the Su-33 could not launch with its full load, and only light aircraft could be used. its a severe limitation of sorties and the amount of air power one can put on.

I think Turkey can go down the French route, and long term should pursue that.

At present, China and the United States are the only countries that possess indigenous electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) technology. France's system is essentially based on U.S. technology rather than being independently developed.

However, the U.S. EMALS has experienced a number of technical and reliability issues, and Donald Trump has publicly raised the possibility of returning to steam catapults.

Therefore, if Türkiye wants to equip a future aircraft carrier with an electromagnetic catapult system, China would currently be the only realistic alternative source outside the United States.

French Aircraft Carrier is nuclear

Steam catapults require enormous amounts of fresh water and high steam energy obtained from nuclear. They are also one of the most mechanically demanding systems to maintain

It is not a realistic alternative for Türkish MUGEM Aircrfat Carrier. steam catapults are now a technology of the past century

New French Aircraft Carrier to use EMALS
Instead of giving $1.2 billion to EMALS, we could build an LHD ( TCG TRAKYA )

MUGEM Aircraft Carrier is 300 m , KAAN can take off from ski jump with STOBAR configuration

What Türkiye needs to do is develop an unmanned tanker Aircraft similar to the American MQ-25 Stingray .... Turkiye can do it from ANKA-3

A refueling probe can be added to the nose section of the navalized KAAN, concealed within the fuselage. This probe only emerges when in air refueling is required

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Air refueling completely replenishes the fuel deficit that KAAN left behind when taking off from the Aircraft Carrier. Thanks to this, KAAN achieves 100% operational radius and flight endurance for hours, as if it had taken off from land with full fuel

Forget about KAAN, it's impossible. Kaan is too big for ACs. Also aircraft capable aircraft needs bigger wings, and stronger structural integrity.

We just need to wait for Navalized Hürjet, as i understand it's gonna be like a brand new aircraft.
