Anyway, when a political appointee is running the cricket board, why would performance always be the top priority? The focus can easily shift toward politics, influence, and keeping the position rather than building a successful cricket team.

In the end, fans care about results—not handshakes, excuses, or political games.

Of course you wouldn't care about politics. That's precisely why politics is allowed to infiltrate at every level of professional sports in your wonderful land of freedom. Suryakumar bhai is on the same page as you.

I am not sure how coming across as eunuchs on the cricket field serves the purpose of either PTI or Pakistan.

Poor leadership starting with the captain. If the captain does not lead, nobody does.

The so-called captain doesn’t even deserve a spot in the team, yet keeps getting selected.

Look at other teams, they blast in T20 while our play test/odi in a T20, dar dar k khailtay hain, everyone just tries to cement their spot in the 11.

Babar made himself a star during covid pandemic, and got exposed once that was over and proper bowling came on.

Yes, you’re absolutely right—we have “damaged” your cricket. By refusing to play bilateral series with you, we’ve apparently denied you the opportunity to make the big money that comes with playing India. And somehow we’re also responsible for consistently beating you in multilateral events.

But by all means, please keep whining and blaming India for your board's incompetence. It’s certainly easier than admitting that Pakistan’s cricket problems are entirely of its own making.

Yet somehow, people still pretend that politics and cricket are completely separate in their own country. When political figures are directly involved in running the cricket board, it’s hardly surprising that politics becomes part of the conversation around team selection, leadership and performance.

I guess the best solution is for the PCB to demand before every match with India that if there’s going to be no handshake, Pakistan will boycott the match.

Because these days, “boycott” has become like halwa for them—easy to announce, but somehow they always end up taking their words back.

So what is handshake refusal in this context?

Remind us why the so-called spilled sindoor of widows is made tidy again by refusing a handshake but nevertheless playing for a payday?

If there was a genuine moral position taken against a nation state that you regard as bringing harm to your womenfolk, would you not refuse to play them altogether? Even if there is genuine political acrimony, again, the solution is to refuse to play us.

How did Iran handle any fixture against an Israeli opponent in this context? Feel free to look it up if you don't know the answer. What about when USA and USSR had ideological differences in the 80s?

Did they all put money first or did they actually take genuine action in defence of their position, regardless of the cost incurred?

You just expose hindustani obsessions more and more by pretending there is some moral reason for the behaviour of your cricketers and the politicians that control them (and please do not continue to pretend your politicians are not neck deep in cricketing affairs - SYK has admitted it plainly and we know only too well of Amit Shah's progeny - these are simple conflicts of interest that need resolving).

No moral recourse whatsoever, just a money making opportunity off the back of spilled sindoor. We get your mentality. We've known for a long time.
