If I recall correctly:
IAF pilots disengaged and escaped when they saw F-104. Pilot of this Gnat landed inside Pakistan thinking it was India. I think the Gnat was then flown by one of the F-104 pilots - possibly those mentioned in the x post - to another base as war trophy.

Edit: I believe pilot was returned as his father was well placed person and had contacts in Pakistan. Again, if I recall correctly, he went on to become AVM or Air Marshall or something, unlike Abhinandan.
