Israel signs €3 billion arms export deal with Greece, defence ministry says

Problem is for Iran distance

Israel-Iran : 1200-1500 km
Greece-Turkiye : 200-250 km

Iran could use only long range kamikaze Drones and expensive MRBMs with range of 1400-2000 km to reach Israel

Iran could not use its own 300-500-700-1000 km Ballistic and Cruise Missiles against Israel

on the other hand , Turkiye can use all kinds of Ballistic-Cruise Missiles with range of 100-150-250-400-560 km to hit everything in Greece and Greek Islands

also Turkiye has cost effective kamikaze Drones with range of 60-80-200-500-900-1000-2000 km ( ALPAGUT , DELI , SIMSEK , KEMANKES , SIVRISINEK , MIZRAK , KUZGUN , K-2 , SUPER SIMSEK )

The MOSQUITO kamikaze drone is a very cheap and quick-to-produce system
with range of 1.000 km and 20 kg warhead

Turkish ANKA-3 and KIZILELMA unmanned stealth UCAVs to enter service as of 2027 to carry hundreds of TOLUN , EREN , KUZGUN guided munitions

even 500+ American SLAM-ER , ATACMS , HARM , JSOW , HARPOON Block-2 Missiles are enough to wipe out Achilles Sheild System if Greece delpoy them close to Türkiye ( 30-50-100 km away from Turkish mainland )

also , 70-120 km guided MLRS ( TRG-230 and TRG-300 ) thousands of guided Rockets are already in service
1788645080960.png

I can show dozens of other Turkish Weapon Systems already in service to hit Achilles Sheild System

You don't joke around with the Turkish Armed Forces; they'll drive you crazy.
Greece's plan will fail if it deploys this system to islands close to Türkiye.

Also Turkiye has advanced Electronic Warfare Systems such as KORAL-200 and ASOJ-23A to jam enemy Radars from 200-400 km away

also , We can use SUPER SIMSEK to employ electronic jamming to reduce the effectiveness of Air Defense Radars

I think , some People are underestimating the Turkish Armed Forces
Thinking of stopping the Turkish Armed Forces by acquiring a few air defense systems is a huge mistake and they will pay a heavy price in a war

Tiresome childish rant, please refrain from such rhetoric.

It's not about the distance. It's about the ability to launch so many munitions at such scale, coordinated and succesfuly. Undetected and undeterred. Iran's advantage was the distance in that it had time to launch from all over the country.

However, even Iran could fire these amounts of ballistic and cruise missiles in relatively long breaks. Same with the drones.

It's not as if they could launch 2,000 drones in one hour and 500 ballistic missiles in two hours.

Your numbers remain imaginary and highly theoretical.

Iran's disadvantage here is that it uses only very expensive MRBMs. because of long distance 1200-1500 km ... nothing to do with coordination

Greece, on the other hand, plans to deploy the Achilles Shield System to islands close to Türkiye (30-50-100 km to the Turkish mainland)

There's no need even for expensive Ballistic and Cruise Missiles.

Only guided munitions ( EREN , TOLUN , KUZGUN and TRG-230 , TRG-300 guided MLRS will be enough wipe out the Achilles Shield System )

Are you blind ? Look at these again, thousands more are in the inventory.

btw , This is not my numbers
This is Turkiye's new generation attack paradigm according to BAYKAR , attack packages consisting of 2,000 kamikaze Drones

and Turkiye's technology is enough to produce more and to coordinate swarm attacks

You don't know that. You assume that.

Again,all theory.

In plain english:

You don't know which systems and where we will deploy them. You see a brochure, you take it as granted. The same thing you do with Turkish brochures.

And stop repeating "30-50-100",it makes you look autistic. Seriously.

Just like when I said 2 years ago that 10 AKINCI UCAVs could neutralize a Frigate with 40 IHA-230 supersonic missiles, the same person said that Turkiye doesn't have 10 AKINCIs, that it's just a theory.

Today, there are between 40 and 50 AKINCI UCAVs in the inventory.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently, Greece doesn't have Israeli air defense systems, but the Turkish Armed Forces have thousands of guided MLRS, guided munitions ,kamikaze drones and Cruise-Ballistic missiles in their inventory.

The Achilles Shield System will be ready in 2030... by then, Turkiye will have even hypersonic MRBMs.

In fact, if 500 of each of the 20 types of ammunition were produced, the total would be 10,000 kamikaze Drones , guided munitions and Cruise-Ballistic Missiles

You can't buy more than 300 air defense missiles with 3 billion euros, and that number would only protect Greece for one day.

Oh and you'll send them all at the same time, with full package? Man,get a grip.

Currently, Greece doesn't have Israeli air defense systems, but the Turkish Armed Forces have thousands of guided MLRS, guided munitions ,kamikaze drones and Cruise-Ballistic missiles in their inventory.
And currently Turkey has just started inducting their AA systems, your AA shield is not entirely in place and we currently have the ability to nullify your launchers. Surprise: Rampage is coming in October or November to the HAF.

You can't buy more than 300 air defense missiles with 3 billion euros, and that number would only protect Greece for one day.
Currently we have a lot of old, aging and some still solid good systems. A big amount of them.

Logically, some will keep serving alongside the new Israeli ones. As for the missiles, you can't predict and you can't know. The Armed Forces do not release the exact amount. There's also an option in the deal, for more missiles. But your guess of 300 missiles is illogical,it doesn't even cover all the launchers in full load.

Turkiye has 300+ UCAVs which can be armed with 1200+ guided munitions/missiles

and just 10 AKINCI UCAVs with 40 IHA-230 supersonic missiles could neutralize a Frigate .. ( a theory two years ago has now become a reality, and we even have 40-50 AKINCI UCAVs, not just 10 )

Greece gets Rampage Missile , without LASER seeker or TV camera
Turkiye has already IHA-230 supersonic Missile with LASER seeker can hit even moving targets

also , 500+ km 300-ER Missile with TV camera seeker on the way

300-ER Missile can reach all points in Greece while RAMPAGE can not reach even ESKISEHIR

----------------------------------------------------------------------

If Greece deploy the Achilles Shield System to Greek mainland then it would be ineffective and unable to protect the islands close to Türkiye.... If they deploy to the islands, they would then fall within the range of all missile systems including guided MLRS and would be easily destroyed

The Greek mainland is 200-250 km away, so Turkish UCAVs can strike all the Greek islands even from Turkish airspace.

btw , they are worse than autistics

"The air defense systems we received from Israel will protect us against Turkiye."

Turkiye has deployed its advanced 120 km TRG-300 guided MLRS to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to hit BARAK-MX Air Defense Systems in BAF and MARI within a day

Even 70 km TRLG-230 guided MLRS can hit BARAK-MX Air Defense Systems

They are dreaming to stop NATO's 2nd strongest fire power with a few BARAK-MX Air Defense Systems

Israel-Greece air defence deal to be 'scaled up' with UAE as contender, sources say

The UAE, which operates a range of air-defence batteries, is being discussed as the next export market for a layered system

Israel plans to “scale up” the export of the layered air-defence system it sold to Greece, with the UAE as its desired buyer, one current and one former US official familiar with ongoing discussions told Middle East Eye.

Talks between Israel and the UAE, taking place alongside the US, are focused on how Israel can address a gap in the Emirates’ “layered defence” capabilities, the current US official told MEE.

Israel’s $3.5bn sale to Greece on Monday is being described as a model for how it can export its systems and design to other partners.

“This is a profit machine for Israel that they are looking to scale up,” the former US official familiar with the matter told MEE.

“Israel’s layered air defence systems are cheaper and more exportable than ours [the US’s],” they added.

The UAE is a prime candidate because it already cooperates on defence with Israel.

The US said that Israel deployed Iron Dome missile defence batteries and technicians to the UAE during the height of fighting with Iran earlier this year. The Financial Times reported that Israel also sent a drone detection platform to the UAE.

MEE revealed in May that the two countries sealed a deal to pursue the joint development and acquisition of weapons systems.

The UAE already operates US-made Patriot and Thaad air defence systems. The Breaking Defence news site reported in 2022 that the UAE also purchased Israel's Barak air defence system.

"[But] the UAE does not have a fully layered air-defence system," the US official told MEE.

Israel and the Mecca Pact

The discussions underscore how Israel is moving to integrate its technology with strategic partners. Greece and the Republic of Cyprus sit at the western end of a network that includes the UAE and India to the east.

Last month, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey joined together in a mutual defence agreement called the Mecca Pact, which many see as a potential rival to Israel’s partnerships.

Saudi Arabia and its partners say they want to bolster defence cooperation, but have yet to unveil any big ticket items. Neither Turkey nor Pakistan have publicly acknowledged coming to Saudi Arabia’s support as it has faced attacks from Houthi fighters in Yemen.

Exporting air defence systems is complex because they contain many moving parts including command and control systems, sensors, radar, interceptors and launchers. The tiered air defence system that Israel has sold Greece is even more complex because it is designed to address a variety of threats.

Under the deal sealed with Greece, Israel will help design and supply components for an all-encompassing air defence system Greece is developing called Achilles Shield.

Israel’s defence ministry said this is the first time in history it will “supply a complete defense array against a wide range of threats - from ballistic missiles and aerial threats to hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)”.

Greece has purchased Israel's David's Sling and SPYDER systems produced by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and the Barak MX system made by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), as well as MMR multi-mission radars for air surveillance, manufactured by IAI unit ELTA Systems.

Greece will be only the second customer for Israel’s David’s Sling after Finland, a fellow Nato member that borders Russia.

The Republic of Cyprus purchased and took delivery of Israel's Barak defence system in December 2024, according to Greek media.

US Army refused more Iron Dome batteries because Israel didn´t wanted to share the source code of the system

What makes you think they will be more generous with greeks.

Israel’s reluctance to provide source code and other technical details about the Iron Dome system have also contributed significantly to the Army’s reluctance to keep funding the project. While Iron Dome is perfectly effective within the Israeli radar and datalink ecosystem, in U.S. Army service it would be expected to work with current U.S. Army battlefield radars, also used for Patriot and other systems (as well as the new Sentinel radar). The lack of source code and technical models prevent the Army from judging how effective Iron Dome can integrate with U.S. integrated air defense system. This is ironic, given that United States shared source code with Israel on the F-35 project, allowing Israel to integrate their own air-to-air missiles and air networks onto the fighter and partially funded its development.
