bro... GHQ has ransacked popular support, public mandate, courts, etc. If it can't make a new province bcz it fears political parties for its public support, at least it should make the Kalabagh Dam.

One needs to understand the structure of the military and how it is "supposed" to operate. Once the decision is made by the man at the top, it has to be followed in letter and spirit.

Where is the law and merit in that? Can Asim Munir appoint Mohsin Naqvi at VCOAS through the 30th Amendment (by passing the service career clauses)? Will the army accept that in letter and spirit?
If not, tau yeh azaab hamary sir kyun musalat hai. They have destroyed all public institutions (police, judiciary, postal, railways, PIA, etc) for their sake. I hear FF is acquiring PC Hotels chain now.

You are entitled to your opinion and you will even get the usual support from your eco-chamber that you subscribe to.

For every chief that is involved in some level of politicking, he has an entire coterie of senior PSOs and Corps Commanders who want nothing to do with the politics of the state. This has been proven time and again. Also, junior officers grow into senior military leadership. They don't suddenly get an ilham to become brown sahibs.

Last, just because the rank and file don't mutiny in support of Imran Khan does not mean the entire army and its high command are for politics and governing the country. We should be able to discern things clearly instead of regurgitating the hyperbole that is constantly brewing in the anti-establishment camp. Most of it is ill-informed and baseless. However since nobody cares about validating the truth and facts, it passes as gospel in certain camps.

There have been 4 dictators in Pakistani history and when there wasn't, the army was still intervening in politics, as you can see even today with Gen Munir ruling the country. When we combine this love of politics with the vast business empire the army has assembled, we see where the priorities of the officers lie.

So it is correct to say the army is about politics and business , not soldiering. Thus the inability to liberate Kashmir nor defend Pakistani civilians , or even jawans, from terrorists across the country.

Balochistan : OPERATION RAD-UL-FITNA 3
On 7 September 2026, intelligence agencies provided credible information regarding the presence of Fitna al Hindustan terrorists in the Para Bera area, approximately 5 km from Pattak, Besima.

A sanitation team under the command of the Brigade Commander, Besima, and the Commanding Officer, who were already present in Pattak, immediately moved towards the identified location.

Upon reaching the area, the team came under heavy fire from the terrorists. Demonstrating tactical discipline, the security forces responded effectively and engaged the terrorists. In the ensuing firefight, 3 terrorists were eliminated, while a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.

The area is being sanitised, and the hunt for remaining terrorists continues.

I said, unity of command is the single most important thing and keeps Pakistan standing as a nation-state. The day this unity of command breaks, it's over for Pakistan. No Imran Khan, no nobody can save Pakistan from the doom it would face.

Second, the military have not destroyed anything. The jealousy is that the armed forces run a tight ship and other departments don't. So when a retired military officer is put in charge of those institutions, all the vitriol comes out. We know the track record of civilians running Police, Postal service, Railways, PIA has been, since the founding of Pakistan, all of these organizations have been run by civilians with uniformed personnel at the helm for less than 10% of the time.. The reason they go to the military is because those institutions have already been run to the ground by the civilians.

By the time a military officer is deputed/seconded, it's usually way past the recovery stage. These military officers have done well in many cases too. ACM Nur Khan and his work making PIA a world class airline, the work of NDMA in the Northern Pakistan earthquakes led by a serving Lt Gen and many other examples. However, like the civilians, some in the military have failed at their civilian deputations too. There is no panacea to Pakistan's ills. Sometimes you bring in someone with large organizational management experience, they can solve problems, other times they may not.

Under Operation Rad Ul Fitna III, intelligence intercepts gave credible information of presence of enemy terrorist combatants in Para Bera area of Basima, Wushuk, Balochistan.

On reaching location, own troops received heavy fire but adopted tactical manoeuvres and fought back and successfully eliminated THREE (3) enemy terrorist combatants while a cache of arms and ammunition was seized.

I cannot debate that. Only physical and economic pressure can save a country. No rationality or sanity or ideology can hold a country from an enemy, not even a house. It will not be coherent and inclusive, but it will safeguard the boundaries. So, a strong professional army or impossible geography, etc saves a country.

Sindh is recruiting thousands of teachers with below-metric qualifications (probably ghost teachers). There is huge corruption in the Income Support program. Asifa won the election without anyone contesting that seat. These same people give jobs on quota to their workers in PIA, Railway, Steel Mills, etc.

Who provides patronage to these people? It is the military.

Asghar Khan build the PAF. Nur Khan built PIA (bought PCs), hockey, Kabaddi, Squash, and so on (I bet all players were selected on merit, unlike what Mohsin Naqvi is doing with cricket). Similarly, many retired officers have opened up free schools, like Brig Satti, who offers free O-level education, etc.
Now two things have happened. 1) The quality/capacity of retired officers has degraded. Most appointments are favours, so these chairmen can do the GHQ bidding when needed. The main 2) thing, though, is that the environment is very competitive. Even Nur Khan today cannot run PIA, as margins are so slim in profits (the aviation industry was in its infancy in 60s).
One example. India has many historical sites, landscapes, Goa, Himachal resorts, and whatnot. Still, only 9 million international tourists visit India, compared to Bali alone attracting 6.5 million.
See who is really running FF. It is experts (civilians mainly).
