Modi should make a deal now for the Su 57. This is the right time. The Russians are very willing. Talking abt tech transder of even the S 500. We should start manufacruring in HAL's Nashik facility immediately. Target abt 400 Su 57 in the next 9 years until AMCA production begins.

Russia can't even make rubbish SU57s for themselves and rely on North Korea to help fight in war. Russia will also never give you any critical technology so quit being an international begger and go work on your own tech.

Mit again this BS… and you should better instantly stop smoking that stuff it is not good to your brain!

400 Su-57 under licence in India until 2035 is so much off like the sun raising in the West!

A certain other plane PAFA come s to mind. India made a development deal with Russia , then ran away midways without paying.
SU 57 was an evolution of PAKFA.
Russia should first clear past dues from India before entering into another contract with Indai, which India may not pay for

Rudely interrupting someone's sweet dream is an unfriendly act! Even though I often do that sort of thing myself... :ROFLMAO:

Lets see originally SU57/FGFA conceived 2007, with India cancelling it in 2018…..lets see the small print and how many billions India gets rinsed for

Gotta love Russia, screwed India over first time on this project and now coming back for a late night booty call again....
How can a nation with that size and so called ambition come back again like as if nothing happened after decade, totally begger and desperate.

Lack of options, remember when Indians on here were pretending F-35 was on the table? It never was, and this chat with Putin on the SU-57 proves why US was right.

IAF now severely out if options. France asking to a massive price on Rafale, realistcally no one expect AMCA in services for next 20 years, if then.

No US or Chinese options available, Euro 6th Gen projects at least 10 years away then India will have to get on line.

You have to think what PAF will look like in 10 years, and that is why the panic....

Rafale, and Su57E ( and I would argue the Su-75 also ) are India's only option. The cheapskates will have to open their dusty wallets and pay, they have no choice.

What will India learn from the TOT from the Su57E that it couldn't or didn't learn from the Su30MKI programme? Would they not be better asking for full technology on the bits that they think was withheld from the Su30MKI programme so that it becomes a turnkey build in India and do another production run in addition to off the shelf Su57E, etc.

with 270+ Su-30s waiting to be retired, starting between 2040-45, Su 57 is the only option available in the market. IAF can procure it in small batches and test it, upgrade it and build it locally with full ToT just like we done with Su-30s.

There are very few things we will be buying from the Russians from now on, and fighter jets is not one of them.
