what made you change your mind about major strikes in Tehran?
I think it’s past that point I think a lot of this has to do with Yemen and the thrashing their giving everyone thereWatch it crash again when Trump opens his mouth and mentions "talks"..

Long term I would agree. But that shift in oil markets won't be the case for at least a decade.if oil price remains above 100$ for a while, US will need to open new war fronts!
(and higher yields on short term debts!)
why?!
because, it needs more dollars. As it sits far beyond the reach of enemies and has one of the largest oil reserves and can control Venezuela, so more dollars will flow towards it!
so, this talk of high and rising oil prices, would benefit USA and would not make it weak.
Because, it was ensues large parts of the trading routes, more capital would shift towards USA (prolonging useful life of its debt!).
Further, to open new fronts, USA has many choices. Because, not only it can control countries, it has also controls over many guerilla factions and religious groups!
in other words, the next incoming conflict would favor US and its allies more!

USA still needs an off ramp from this one. Trump has miscalculated the resolve of his opponents. Or rather, Trump knows he's stuck but his bosses in Tel Aviv won't let him off the hook.
An interesting take on that.. but if Iran launched hundreds of missiles, no way would Israeli interceptors would be able to get all of them.It is not that straightforward. Presumably, a radar shield still exists. Tel Aviv undoubtedly retains substantial interceptors BUT also the most potent offensive forces in the region to immediately counterattack.
So why would Iran fire salvos that are (a) STILL likely to get intercepted and (b) likely to provoke a devastating counterattack?
Iran seems to be playing as well as it possibly can for now. It's making the cost of defending Israel unbearable for other nations but yhe trade off is that the problem of besiegement remains for Iran - their economy is shot to pieces. I suspect Iran will only target Israel directly if they really are at the end of the line.
The Houthis are a different matter - they are mad enough to do as they please any day of any week.
The US media is particularly known for leaking and when necessary, leaking false information from "anonymous" sources. Which is code for they themselves made it up.I would not be surprised if some media leak fake “talks”.
