Nobody knows when PL-15E was fired from GJ-11. Or whether even this is the first A2A firing test from GJ-11. Considering GJ-11 entered service last year, there are chances that it completed all these tests before. It had 12 years of development time since the first flight in 2013.

China's announcement is recent, if they had conducted the test-fire earlier, they would have announced it then. While Turkiye and the US released videos of actual live-fire tests, China released only a photo of low quality indeterminate nature

yet we still assume they succeeded
