If the IMF or World Bank questions India’s 7.8% GDP growth in the first quarter, then it can be debated. Otherwise, claims made by random individuals on social media are irrelevant and should be dismissed. GDP data is not something Indian government can simply manipulate without scrutiny.

Look at India’s automobile sales as well. Passenger-vehicle sales are growing at the rate of 35% annually, and India will buy more than 5 million passenger vehicles this year alone. The underlying economic activity remains very strong and will keep booming every year. In fact, even the 7.8% GDP growth figure seems to be an underestimate.

Problem is that they have accepted their fate. They have no desire to improve. So
1) Malign the enemy. From doubting their success to highlighting actual failures.
2) Immediately evoke the "China" card.

You can't win an argument with such crowd. There is an ignore button. Earn your peace.

I agree with this point. Repeatedly trying to convince Pakistanis that they are much poorer than India is largely futile. Indians should listen to the Pakistani narrative and understand the mindset behind it rather than constantly trying to argue with it.

If a Pakistani genuinely wants to discover the truth, they will do so themselves, you don't need to lecture them about it. This approach should also be applied at the state level. Unless you understand the narratives, perceptions and mindset prevalent in Pakistan, you cannot properly understand Pakistan and may end up making flawed strategic decisions.

In my view, much of India's past engagement with Pakistan, including repeated attempts at peace talks, reflected an inadequate understanding of the Pakistani mindset. That miscalculation ultimately came at a significant cost to India in terms of human lives lost in terrorism and the subsequent economic loss because of terrorism
