We (europeans) let US to build long range radar and ABM bases in Poland and Romania.

That's right..Poland and Romania asked the EU for defense but you guys had nothing because you were too busy holding hands in big circles saying the world is great..so they ended up calling us in.

Regarding Ukraine and Russia. Russias aim in my opinion in Ukraine is not victory. It's reading rest of the enemies from there and strike once needed. As Lavrov said, it will be quick and decisive. I pretty much sure he meant usage of Nukes.

I don't know what was he thinking before attacking Ukraine. What I say now, Russia is nearing bankruptcy and Russia is left with the only and most lethal part of its inventory. And I am afraid, Russia is about to use it.
We might soon see mushrooms clouds over Europe.

Putin was arrogant enough to think he could just walk into Ukraine and they would surrender or be overpowered in 3 days.

To go for this kind of desperation will need a lot more. Besides, they know that everything is of their own causing.

I just read a news, that US have already space based weapons up there operational in space. If US has a motivation to protect Europe from these attacks given, that the Russians use their most heavy assets that travel all the way up there. Then there is already counter weapons there to shoot them down, and then to respond with your own nuclear arsenal, which some participants in Europe also has.

If they will use tactical level of weapons, they have hard time for making them reach central Europe and there is plenty of air defense to shoot it down.

And then if they use those medium ones, they do not have so much of them and then they can as well be attempted to intercept with capabilities that Europe already have.

So it is not like Russia can just decide to destroy everything from everywhere without counter measures or responses that they need to be aware of.

This much is common sense. And fear mongering will not function.

But still, to make it more certain. More investments can be made to these protective measures and European own space programs can be accelerated.

They are building more and maybe of different kind. And Europe should attempt to do as well.

The news i read told, that the US is planning to procure space based weaponry in the future, with the components only costing more than 500 billion dollars.
