I think it highlights more the value of a medium range/altitude IR / passive infrared/electro-optically guided SAM system which is impossible to detect, than the failings of the F15. The system is impressive if the target is within its operating window. The fact that it took down a F15, but the F-35 managed to survive, does suggest that the F35 is built very well.

You also need to look at F-15 roles in this war, it is basically THE workhorse in the Iran conflict. The US flew around 15,000 combat sorties since the war begin, 60% of those were F-15E, and 4 were shot down (3 of them friendly fire by Kuwait) that's 4 per 9000 combat operation. Not really that bad for an Airframe that's over 20 years old.

What I love about the Yemen war is that it is actully the only real war in this entire region. The remaining are just for show tit or tat strikes.

But here men are actully engaged with each other in a conventional conflict.

The Houthis resolve will be broken very shortly after coming under severe attacks.

I expect their frontline to collapse on many areas very shortly and that momentum created will be the end of the houthis

The Houthis normally put pressure on the UAE to get ceasefire last time and there is no option for that now as the UAE is not part of this war anymore.

They can fire rockets at Saudi arabia which is massive country and the saudis don´t give a fuk anymore. They will only waste rockets. The saudis will just carpet bomb them and the war will continue on them. No way out and eventually they will break including there is a blockade on them

Here is food for thought.

If the Houthis front collapse in just one area that will build significiant momentum for the giants brigade, the Homeland forces and the tribes. This momentum will be fatale. They will push until the end. Houthis are holding like a house of card and people are tired in Yemen nor have the stomach to carry on especially Houthi supporters they are just gathering flocks and don´t stand on much hence if momentum swings they are finished
