Breaking News: Yemen's Houthis strike Saudi Arabia's Abha airport with missiles and drones in a sharp escalation

Saudi Arabia could have been arming the Yemeni govt with ballistic missiles and drones. The Yemeni govt could then have been targeting the oil, military, and other economically important facilities in the UAE. This is how Saudi Arabia can turn the tables on MBZ-led govt and their support to the Houthi menace.

Quick litmus test:
We Pakistanis/Iranis/Arabs may be biased towards this conflict because of many reasons including sectarian divide.

But what do you think which side does the neutral people pick? Like all the great non-muslim people in the WEST and other parts of the world who are against Israel/USA killing muslims? Which side are they are choosing in this conflict?

I bet overwhelming majority of them choose Yemen+Iran and are against Saudi/UAE/Israel, if you disagree, show me which reputable neutral person is supporting Saudi against the Yemenis?

This argument is more than enough to expose many who think they are just and don't have any sectarian bias.

That's the manager of the holiest place for muslims?
Mecca and Medina need to be under Islamic supervision ( a colaition of islamic countries).

Riyadh relied on militias to do its work the way Saudi Military do or air support, which has no way of claiming land and is a poor answer to underground facilities .
If Riyadh genuinely wanted to go to war with Houthis it should have been with ground troops.
Nothing is worse than fully half-committing to a conflict.

Previously there was a video that showed how the Houthis took out Saudi M1A2 Abrams with AK-47, sandals and a lighter.

Where in the SAM manual says closed-toed shoes are required? … 😊

Can you elaborate how was Syria a traditional power? Enlighten us.

I'm the kind of Egyptian who doesn't accept BS.

We don't need to go to far back in history. It's somewhat 50 years since Syria proposed United Arab Republic ended in which Egypt was a province.

brother,

if we put the sectarian biases aside just think about something

when Muslims are oppressed , say in India or in Palestine etc. we Muslims protest and implore the world to condemn such actions in the name of humanity, justice and morality. we show pictures of slain civilians including adults and children and we make emotional speeches and condemn the hypocrisy of west and silence of united nation.

but when a Muslim country, or coalition of Muslim country wages war on a poor country for years, imposes embargoes, fire bombs its hospitals , blows up its infrastructure and causes famine to the millions and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of civilians including children then we qualify our reaction based on whether we pray with open arms or arms closed. isn't this disgraceful?

While Israel was bombing Palestinians and Lebanon, our Muslim nations continued their war on Yemen and opened new fronts in Somalia and provided logistics and indirect support to launch attacks on Iran.

and then we call ourselves Muslims and then we rant when non-Muslims do the same. not all Yemenis fighting the Saudis and their touts are Shias, none of the Palestinians are Shias but they continue to suffer while Arab countries didn't even allow the Palestinians to seek refuge.

whatever the faith of the Yemenis, they are justified to fight back for all the killings they have suffered. just check out the fire bombings on Doctors without border camps by the Saudi and UAE jets.. no amount of denial and whataboutism can hide the fact that GCC has killed more (Muslim) people in Yemen than the Israelis have done in their recent aggression in Lebanon and Palestinian territory.

Disastrous MBS bad choices. Has put Saudis Arabia in this ridiculous position by intervening in Yemen in the first place and alienating the majority of the population by blocking the country. I'm no fan of the Houthis but this entire intervention has caused nothing but suffering for them the Yemeni population that wouldn't have had to happen if the Saudis and GCC had let the county decide its own fate. An even bad Houthi government taking over in 2015 would have been far better than the prolonged warfare. MBS is an absolute idiot.
