Yes we would be in a much worse situation! Israel would have escalated without mercy and we would be in a regional war. Now I'm not against war against evil, but if the public arent on the side of the government and would behave treacherously/cowardly in an escalation with Israel, thus causing the potential downfall of IR, we would then have to take it back to those events which you called for retaliation and ask "was it worth it?".

It is not even about saving face anymore. Israel is slowly but surely removing all the influential people that are in the ''resistance of axis''. This will eventually reach to the highest decision makers in Tehran.

To restore deterrence, something significant must be done.

Define "the people"! I don't doubt there are many patriotic Iranians who will defend Iran, but as we have seen in recent years there is also a sizeable number of treacherous Iranians as well, too sizeable for my liking. I'm not discouraging anything nor do I have access to "them" to make a difference. I'm just trying to understand why Iran has not retaliated thus far.

Pakistan has never targetted specific groups which have attacked Iran from their border. This is an undeniable fact, and one of a plethora of reasons why suspicion has to exist.

I know something has to be done, but let's count the reasons why it hasn't happened thus far. Lack of indegenous support from the Iranian public for a war may be one factor.

They didn't blame Pakistan and Pakistan condemned the attacks and it stops here, just that the terrorists came from there (allegedly, i don't see that in the main source but people report it as such)
