The more likely reasons for moving these aircraft back to main base are aircraft maintenance and crew R&R before the Iran war resumes after the November elections.

If you are an aviation enthusiast in the UK, then chances are you have been to that base as the RIAT (https://www.airtattoo.com/ ) is hosted from there every year and it is all country side lanes and roads to get there. very very easy to control access in that part of the world.

The movement of these planes right now, is rather odd!
