Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

This is barbaric and insane. I cannot believe this madness. WTF is allowing this to happen if it's true? Why crush those who surrendered already to prove a point? I'm utterly ashamed and disgusted. They're humans for heaven sake. 😔

Tweet not found.... what's that about ?

To be fair a lot of weapons and supplies left behind by the opposition but I agree you can’t keep marching on to the next city or village or port etc unless you have the men to secure those areas the offensive will slow down they will reinforce any and all areas they took over even if the opposition is doing ā€œtactical retreatā€ Saudi Air Force will bomb anything and everything they will destroy entire cities to prevent Houthis from going further

The Houthis fighters strength is they use Guerrilla tactics which even the most high tech army will struggle with just shows that it's not how much you spend on your military. One important point of Houthis strength was terrain itself. Guerrilla forces like Taliban and Houthis use difficult terrain like mountainous , tunnels, caves systems, and remote areas not just for hiding , and ambush but because terrain neutralises expensive conventional military advantages like air power , artillery etc. That’s traditional guerrilla warfare textbooks. We don’t really know , If it’s Houthis leadership themselves or an outside advisers told Houthis , fight like a conventional military to hold their gains with no air cover. That will be suicidal for Houthis against a powerful Saudi Airforce.

400k is reserved for Sanaa on the Marib frontline there is plenty of manpower for sanaa and firepower
It doesn't matter what the army is on paper. The "ghost army" is the reason the afghan army melted and is the reason the coalition has been trying to force the Yemenis to do biometric verification of their force.

When any Frontline collapses in double digits km without much fighting, the reason is always the gaps in the line.

Anyway, the Govt has called for mobilization earlier this week. Let's see what force they have mobilized. And can it perform in the mountainous terrain unlike that of bab wl mandab today
Avoid getting bogged down in tactics and analysis of Yemeni army , no one expects miracles from Yemeni government army... look at the bigger picture and the powers involved to get a whiff of the game plan .

ā€œYou may fly over a land forever; you may bomb it, atomize it, pulverize it and wipe it clean of life—but if you desire to defend it, protect it, and keep it—for a civilization—you must do this on the ground, the way the Roman legions did, by putting your young men into the mud.ā€ T. R. Fehrenbach

The game plan is obvious. But for them to win the game, they first need to put enough boots on the ground, wether their own or the Yemenis.

How do you think Bab al-Mandab is taken? The giants cleaned the mountains like Kahboob and the mountains near omri camp.

They should go after them from mountain top to mountain top. There is a large forces in Marib who have not entered the war just yet. The offensive on Sana“a will be declared very soon

21st century of infantry being trampled by the cavalry.

Also, what surrender? Throwing the hands up microseconds before being killed while hundreds of your rebels (not soldiers of some recognized state mind you) are syill armed and shooting back, doesn't ring surrender. And no one with any braincells is going to risk their lives trying to accept it in this kind of situation. HT4DmHTXYAAn2wI.jpg

There are many POWs, but there is a way to do it. Kalima is not accepted on the day of judgement itself.

Same way the houthis took it. By concentrating reasonable number of troops and driving along the coast shooting in the air. And I wasn't speaking of couple of small hillets along the coast like jabal Al umari, where there no defensive positions on it. By mountains I meant the mountains of Al taiz, marib, Al jawf, Al bayda, etc where the houthis have entrenched themselves over years of defensive positions and caves tunnels.

Taking those back would need a little more that driving along the coast under airforce blanket.

It maybe true there is this 400k force in marib. It may also be 40k on the ground and 360k salaries going to someones pocket. I do not know. And that's why I think we need a little more evidence, like movement of Frontline in the mountains, to claim one way or the other.

That guy you replied to reminds me about Chemical Ali. Who said Baghdad has not fallen when it fell
To be fair I’m actually more or less a neutral spectator in this I’m reporting actual news sources over twitter feeds that haven’t confirmed through actual legitimate news organizations I totally agree both sides use propaganda twitter feeds that say one side or the other is being triumphant but when FOX news starts reporting the battle is currently leaning to one side thats not a good sign……seriously though with all of your triumphant posts even when we have confirmed stories about Houthis overrunning the opposition taking over presidential homes you keep repeating the kill box scenario…..if it ever happens you can proudly claim in 6 month a year or 5 years down the road that you called it like I said before I don’t care for these types of wars the pits brother against brother it’s stupid and ugly but facts are facts if it changes tomorrow that will be the fact as well

Guessing another fake twitter feed if it already got removed

Don't worry .... you will see well polished boots on the ground.

The sad part is all of that will be that Iranians won't give a single FUQ about these barefoot fighters who are fighting in Yemen, Iranians are busy in their own stuff, KSA Arabs don't give a shyte about the foot soldiers that will die in retaking the Bab-Al-Mandeb, in all of this fighting the pawns are the Yemeni people who's lives are lost, entire generations are lost to war and poverty, deprived of basic rights and education because Iran/KSA can't control their egos. I notice that Iranian posters posts tweets about Houthis making gains here and there but won't shed a tear for those videos where the same Houthis are getting bombed and torn into pieces, What a absolute shame.

Al arabiya reports from newly built defensive earthworks by the Houthi rebels forces in Bab Al mandeb after the captured the area last month.
