Most of what you are saying is true though but it's not a random guy who just became CM a year ago behind it.

Pakistan's largest business syndicate manages these things. They mow the lawn just enough to keep things in balance and allow the odd package to cross into Pakistan when more fuel is needed. Very much like how Israel occasionally allows Hamas to grow so they can use it as a justification to "cut the grass".

I don't know why some people are mourning the removal of a known drug smuggler as the CM of KPK. The PTI government in KPK had turned the province into a heaven for terrorists, absconders, and criminals. The evil nexus between the terrorism, smuggling, and politics was so obvious by the activities, actions, and statements of both the terrorists and PTI provincial ministers. That deadly nexus must be broken at any cost.
The federal government didn't have so much issue with PTI's long march. It was ready to deal with it if and when this march would have crossed over into Punjab. The PTI goons knew that very well. That's why they kept their march lingering around within KPK areas only.

Some people, when it suits them, put an unvarnished, uncontional love for 'democracy' even though they should know, with knowledge literally at their finger tips, 'democracy' can elect people like Trump, Modi and Netanyahu--or the Taliban Khan, who is the hero of the Indians and the Afghans.

Govt deploys army ‘for security of lives, properties’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa​

• Army deployment authorised under Article 245 to restore order amid anti-govt protests

The federal government has authorised the deployment of Pakistan Army troops and assets in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assist civil authorities and protect citizens, property and government installations following the imposition of emergency rule in the province.

In a notification issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Interior said the deployment had been authorised under Article 245 of the Constitution for the duration of the proclamation issued on October 11 under Articles 232 and 234.

The notification supersedes earlier orders and states that the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in consultation with the Military Operations Directorate at General Headquarters (GHQ), will determine the number of troops and assets required.


The development came hours after President Asif Ali Zardari signed the emergency proclamation following recommendations from the federal cabinet concerning the law and order situation and the failure of negotiations with government delegations, according to the president’s office.

The measures followed anti-government demonstrations by supporters of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan and militant violence in the country’s northwest. Thousands of Khan’s supporters have been marching in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, demanding his release and criticising the government amid economic hardships.

PTI lawmaker Junaid Akbar said on X that provincial Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and the party’s provincial president had been arrested shortly after the measures were announced.

PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan criticised the emergency declaration, calling it “an extremely alarming and grave political mistake and an undemocratic measure”.

“The people will never accept such actions against their rights,” he wrote on X.

The proclamation, issued under constitutional provisions dealing with emergency situations and provincial governance, provides the federal government with expanded powers in the province.

The CTD in KPK is the weakest and most inactive department as compared to the ones in other provinces. The KPK CM and other ministers would never appreciate the sacrifices by the provincial police and other security agencies for safeguarding the people of the province from the terrorists. These goons wouldn't even attend the funeral payers for those uniformed sons of the soil who lost their lives while fighting against terrorists or even visit their dear ones to offer condolences.

The PTI CM and ministers wouldn't even issue a condemnation statement against the terrorist attacks, including those terrorist attacks that killed scores of innocent people while offering Friday prayers in mosques. It was not surprising that PTI goons would rather try to blame the federal government for all that terrorism while refusing to take any actions against terrorism. Sohail Afridi attended the meeting of APEX committee only once during all his period acting as the CM KPK. Now compare that with the CM Balochistan, another Pakistani province facing terrorism. Sarfraz Bugti not only have publicly issued strong statements against terrorists but also attended the funeral prayers of Shuhada and visited their families.

All that shows a deep rooted nexus between the provincial PTI government and foreign sponsored and supported terrorists. That evil nexus must be broken, the terrorists and their supporters brought to face the law, and terrorist networks destroyed.

For last many years, PTI has selected their CM KPK not for personal leadership qualities but rather one's capabilities to harm the state of Pakistan. Gandapur was never known for his good character, statesmanship, or leadership qualities prior to becoming the CM KPK. From his talk and walk, he looks more like a wild jungly than being the representative of 40 million people. His only qualification to become the CM KPK was the fact that he simply belonged to an area close to the strongholds of TTP terrorists and so could use the terrorism better than anyone else. When Gandapur failed in doing that, he was replaced with Sohail Afridi, a person from the area that serves as a stronghold of TTP terrorists and is known for drug production. He belongs to a family infamously known for drug smuggling. Both Gandapur and Afridi have effectively supported the terrorists of TTP by paying large ransom amounts from both the provincial government treasury and personal payments (even in the form of grain, etc.) I don't know which sect both of them belong to but they have never participated in the funeral prayers of the Shuhada of terrorist attacks or fights against terrorists.

Unlike Iraq, Lebanon, and Yemen, where terrorist Irani proxies have succeeded in creating a state within state, Irani terrorist proxies are unable to create such a state within the Pakistani state. However, these terrorists have in forging a strong nexus with other terrorists groups in Pakistan, underworld mafias, and political actors, the PTI office bearers being the top ones. I honestly dont know the nexus between the PTI led govts in KPK and the so-called drug mafia there. So this forum has probably never seen me commenting on those matters However, I'd say this much: Imran Khan has been leading a Mujib ur Rehman like revolt against the state of Pakistan, that Imran Khan is indeed a stupid and arrogant person, and quite possibly a sympathizer of the Taliban-like ideologies; just look at his marital decisions?!
