Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

I heard that when he lost the No Confidence Motion in April 2022, he was unwilling to leave his official residence in Islamabad and it took two senior Generals to go there and convince him to leave. One report said he was literally smacked on his face by a General because the power hungry guy didn't want to leave.
And that power hungry military general who allegedly smacked PM Imran Khan (his boss at that time) is now an untouchable KING of Pakistan? 🇵🇰

And though you had mental faculty. I am honestly really disappointed

And I wouldn't want a 'cardiologist' like you ever treating me! And it is not just you: I know another Pakistani-American who called it a 'genocide' when one of the Imran's march on Islamabad was crushed. He too is a medical doctor.

one of the downsides is that PTI will wave the victim card and win the next elections again claiming it never got the chance to serve its people (although we all know that it has no intention of doing so other than using the resources on organising war marches on Punjab.)
That is fair in politics and elections. In our country, every political party has used that claim including PML-N, PPP, MQM, BNP etc. so expecting PTI to react differently is unrealistic.

The reality is that Pakistan is #1 on the list of countries most affected by terrorism and if I recall correctly, 70% of such terrorist attacks are happening in KP with the rest in Balochistan.

If GoP can get a handle on the terrorism in KPK, we should see a significant decline overall. This also allows Pakistan to have much greater clarity on what is being supported within the province and what is coming from across the border (and responses can be calibrated against Afghanistan more effectively.)

All roads lead to Afghanistan.

IK and PTI was the strategic depth for the taliban in Pakistan.
All roads lead to USA.
Military establishment always was and still serves as the strategic depth for US interests in Pakistan.

People are already saying that Police and paramilitaries deployed here in KP are masked Punjabis coming to repress Pashtuns

It's because they are jahil morons

Plenty of time has been given to the PTI to resolve the issues coming out of KP

All PTI has done is make excuses and try to protect the Afghans

No one cares about your personal hangups

What's intolerable is the mindless violence coming from the border regions

It's time to change Pakistan

No, my friend. I agree with almost all your posts but in the bolded part: I disagree. We had a new hope in Imran Khan to rid ourselves of the old order, much like Erdogan did in Turkey. We had a guy who was, and probably still is, financially personally not corrupt, which was a big improvement. We had a guy who was basically starting from a clean whiteboard. And we had a guy who professed to create nothing less than a Riyasat e Medina. Our expectations were very high but to see a total idiot, arrogant person who brought his arrogance and dictatorial tendencies (as a cricketer in the 70s/80s) into the power corridors is unforgiven. To top it off, he started to praise Mujib ur Rehman. He is the very reincarnation of Mujib ur Rehman!
He squandered the good will which existed in the expat Pakistanis, in the judiciary, in the Establishment, in the media, in the business class, and indeed in large swathes of Pakistan's ordinary citizens. He is unforgiven by me! I mean no harm to him and wish that he be bundled up to some Saroor Palace in Saudi Arabia with family access allowed but banned from the media. Enjoy the luxuries of the Riyasat e Medina not from from the city of Medina!

The USA is erratic and finished

If anything our current policy has been a MASTERSTROKE of trying to keep a erratic Trump and USA placated and off our backs

If only the thick bastards understood what Pakistan was doing and how effective our diplomacy and foreign policy has been of late

Guys!!! Just letting you know. Six Grade 21 officers in KPK have been replaced by Grade 18 and 19 officers from elsewhere.
In doing so, the Army will dismantle the KPK structure. They will promote politicians/bureaucrats who will do their bidding.
Every post/chair will become an army stooge.
One of the biggest mistakes of Pakistan was not rebuilding a military from scratch. Instead we adopted a military with officers who were never interested or asked for Pakistan in the first place.

They didn't waste more than a decade in making sure they pulled the strings. Practically replaced the British Raj.
The Governor General was not a general. British were ruling India through military means. The civil bureaucrats (also crown poodles) were used as a facade to control the public.
They replaced the military in UP, Punjab, Bengal, etc. areas. PA saw and just repeated that.
Areas like KPK, NE, Balochistan, etc were controlled militarily or through special acts. It is just that GHQ grabbed entire Pakistan (East/West), like erstwhile areas in 56 through similar tactics.

PTI had handed over the province to drug smugglers, seperatists and enemy proxies.

Every year they would come to Islamabad and create anarchy to disrupt important foreign office events.

Their people in Europe and US for years have been attempting to lobby for sanctions on Pakistan and attempted interfere in counter terrorism operations in Afghanistan.

Pashtunists sitting abroad on pity visas pretending to be gay or an endangered activist cosying up to talibanistic refugees under PTM slandering Pakistan day and night.

The attack on Islamabad by a KPK resident earlier this year during basant was the final straw.

This is not democracy. Opposition in the US and Europe do not sabotage their countries like this.

If this is what Pakistanis consider democracy then its good for nothing.
Socrates and Plato were clear on what democracy should be and what it should not be.

Westerners and even eastern based "globalists" who blindly follow an unqualified definition of democracy fail repeatedly to acknowledge that the roots of western democracy reside in dictatorial philosophy and the concept of direct rule. Athenian democracy, for example, was never representative and was in fact, significantly exclusionary of foreigners, women, slaves etc. In other words, rule lay in the hands of those who were deemed (rightly or wrongly) to have the CAPACITY and COGNITIVE FUNCTION and ACCESS TO INFORMATION required in order to rule.

As Socrates argued, would anyone here hand over the controls of a ship to someone "voted in for shouting the loudest"? Or would you request that those with the correct training steer the ship?

This so-called "good will" only lasted as long Imran Khan kept protecting military establishment / American interests in Pakistan. As soon he said "absolutely not" to an American journalist — he was no longer in their "good books". 😉

The west has strict ideological boundaries on anyone involved in their politics.

If they cross these boundaries they are embezzled in scandal and ostracized.
