Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

Army has had unobstructed rule in Balochistan for decades. If they had any capability of ruling/administration then Balochistan would at least be running better than PTI's KPK. Clearly not the case.

Balochistan is also in far worse shape right now but the solution seems to be, just make sure its out of the news cycle. They will do the same with KPK when they fail.

Both provinces are a reflection of the population living there

They will never change, unless the population wishes to change

I don't know why you think any party can create magic

However, by removing obstacles like victimhood politics and politicians who give more loyalty to Afghanistan then Pakistan then you can atleast confront your enemy without one hand tied behind your back

Pakistan is on the right path

And we can hurt our enemies far far more then they can hurt us

If anything our current policy has been a MASTERSTROKE of trying to keep a erratic Trump and USA placated and off our backs
If boot licking Trump by nominating him for Peace Prize every year is an example of a "master stroke" — then I don't even what to know what a bad foreign policy would look like. 🙄

Most army traditions are buffoonery from Raj times. These army units like to trace their history BEFORE independence. I bet they're proud of it too.

One of the biggest mistakes of Pakistan was not rebuilding a military from scratch. Instead we adopted a military with officers who were never interested or asked for Pakistan in the first place.

They didn't waste more than a decade in making sure they pulled the strings. Practically replaced the British Raj.

Civilians can always be blamed for accepting the hybrid system but they were not the ones pointing the gun.

You are obsessed with something STUPID

It doesn't MATTER

Pakistan military is patriotic institution whose objective is the defence of Pakistan against all enemies

Those include Afghanistan and afghans and traitors

Unc just cause you are ancient doesn't mean today's Pakistan is the Pakistan of 70s

Noted. So only an elite "master race" of cronies are capable enough to rule Pakistan. But wait- haven't they been ruling it since 47. Pakistan has been continuously regressing. Why's that unc?

Who are you? You are an American. Drop your arrogance Yank, and let us be
It is worth keeping in mind, when the urgent need to criticise members of your own global diaspora arises, purely for the reason of their present residency status, that a significant number of Pakistan's most notable and influential individuals have spent many a formative year in foreign lands.

A certain pace bowling all rounder who had quite the impact at Sussex springs to mind.

Does that ALSO include internal "enemies" aka Pakistanis who want liberation from military establishment rule in Pakistan? 🇵🇰

The need to critisice them comes from a place where they arrogantly tell you that an autocratic system, a system where criticism against it results in you getting disappeared and your family getting thrashed is better than everything and we should accept it for our own good and we don't know any better. When they won't themselves live a day in such a system.

It's because they are jahil morons

Plenty of time has been given to the PTI to resolve the issues coming out of KP

All PTI has done is make excuses and try to protect the Afghans

No one cares about your personal hangups

What's intolerable is the mindless violence coming from the border regions

It's time to change Pakistan
Like y'all changed Balochistan? Where the situation is getting dire by the day and some Pakistani version of Baghdad Bob will come on TV and tell you how great everything is?

And bro, per your opinion almost everyone is a moron these days

Fine but why do you think a Karachiites opinion don't matter or they remain unaffected by affairs in NWFP? 20-25 percent of Karachi residents are from KPK.

No, my friend. I agree with almost all your posts but in the bolded part: I disagree. We had a new hope in Imran Khan to rid ourselves of the old order, much like Erdogan did in Turkey. We had a guy who was, and probably still is, financially personally not corrupt, which was a big improvement. We had a guy who was basically starting from a clean whiteboard. And we had a guy who professed to create nothing less than a Riyasat e Medina. Our expectations were very high but to see a total idiot, arrogant person who brought his arrogance and dictatorial tendencies (as a cricketer in the 70s/80s) into the power corridors is unforgiven. To top it off, he started to praise Mujib ur Rehman. He is the very reincarnation of Mujib ur Rehman!
He squandered the good will which existed in the expat Pakistanis, in the judiciary, in the Establishment, in the media, in the business class, and indeed in large swathes of Pakistan's ordinary citizens. He is unforgiven by me! I mean no harm to him and wish that he be bundled up to some Saroor Palace in Saudi Arabia with family access allowed but banned from the media. Enjoy the luxuries of the Riyasat e Medina not from from the city of Medina!
I get your point about IK and how he did not come up to your expectations (his supporters will obviously say "he wasn't allowed to by the powers that be"). However, my point is that as a political party, PTI will definitely say what all other parties say. That is par for the Pakistani politics. I don't begrudge them for it.

I do want people to be mindful of the main issue, which at least in my mind, is terrorism. For those decrying the Governor's rule, please keep in mind that GoP has taken measures like this all over Pakistan when the security situation became untenable (why it gets to that point is another debate). I specifically recall the takeover by the military/para forces in Karachi during Operation Clean-Up. The local/provincial government ceased to exist while that was going on (and it went on for over a year). In our country, nothing is done the easy way because the overall good of the country is always second to lisaniat, zaat, firqa-wariat etc.

Look you gimp

By nominating, does the buffoon actually win???

No

But is it a smart ploy, to keep his mind and mind of the U.S administration distracted on something else

So if your planning and understand the art of diplomacy you are getting a lot for very little real output

Why would you think it's better for Pakistan to bang it's chest and target trump or the U.S and invite sanctions or problems?
