Republicans are cooked through the 2032 election cycle. If they want to revive themselves, then become a party of economic reforms, of 'America First', of no illegals tolerated, of no foreign wars, of no Vote Bank politics to appease the freeloaders. They have an even larger voter bank than the Democrats if they choose a wise course of action. Only if they do... The pendulum swings in America; sometime takes some years but it has been swinging.

MAGA was mostly a race-based movement: White Americans in a siege mentality. I am not unsympathetic to them because every ethnic group would feel the squeeze as the demographic around them changes. But Trump did a marvelous job in 2024 to make the political tent larger and thus so many Blacks, Muslims, Latinos voted for him. Of course Trump had no intention of catering to those groups' needs and he didn't--on the contrary. He conned them and they realized and voted against him in 2026.

In a way you are not wrong about MAGA: It is going to live on without Trump because MAGA's roots are race based. I am surrounded by them through relations and friendships and there are many of them. But it will be a greatly diminished force--never attaining the power and the acceptance like in 2024. Trump squandered a historic opportunity. The guy is so callous, so nonchallant that on the eve of the Midterms elections, he was crowing about some Reflection pond or something; talk about Nero playing flute while Rome burnt!

PS. What every non-white resident in America should fear is the rise of violent ethnic backlash in a country where the gun culture is rampant.

The spirit of MAGA is not going away because, IMO, it was an ethnic/race based movement.
As to people voting against their interests--I personally know a few: They may lose the Affordable Care Act subsidies, and thus have no health insurance anymore but they were conned into hating the Democrats to the point of voting against their own interests.

I don't trust Tucker Carlson to be some intellectual giant and I even question his journalistic integrity but lately he is on the 'right side' of history: America first, no wars for Israel; he is particularly harsh on Israel! And I believe he has made a significant impact on opening up the debate on Israel to the point I am a bit surprised that Mossad has not taken him down!
In this short video--first 8-9 minutes enough watching--he is again going after Israel but again he is being soft on Trump. That lack of journalistic integrity is unacceptable: So Trump created a large coalition only to sacrifice that to please Israel? No! Trump showed he was the biggest Zionist POTUS America ever had--even more than Biden.

I think Vance will actually take that route for the Republicans, I think eh is biding his time right now

Aware most of you know more about US politics then me but I am going to make a predication here

1) Trump ends Iran war, blames Israel and Hegseth, Hegseth fired and impeached giving the Dems a scalp, aid to Israel stopped
2) Right wing of Dems continue to dominate party despite progressives winning and mass support for them. Kamala somehow gets the nomination promising to still back Israel
3) Vance actually runs on a more progressive foreign policy platform then the Dems and mass AI profits are distributed to voters or AI companies nationalised/part Nationalised increasing household wealth
4) Vance beats Harris in 2028
5) Vance becomes Pres, forgives Trump who quietly retires to Florida

The US becoming a progressive communist country will probably have a better chance that this will be the reality.

Most people don't care about Politics, and never even vote in any election, because that's not concerning them, until they get concerned.

2024 was when the Trump base stirred up anti-Dem sentiment, seeing them as a tripwire, but when the flare went off, nothing happened. The 2026 midterm happens.

Bear in mind that even after the midterm bloodbath, most right-wing media did not call for a cessation of hostilities with Iran; most said to wind down the operation, and some said they need to double or triple down. Ending the war and lowering gas prices are two different issues with the same core. I am pretty sure the GOP would be able to find a way to do both; maybe they will end the war in Iran closer to the end of Trump's presidency so the next guy would be the one that picks up the pieces, just like how Trump ended Afghanistan and then turned around and blamed Biden....

JD is not going to be the next President when he comes out in Public and says it's the Iran war that cost them the midterm, no one breaks from Trump and survives their political career.

And Kamala would not have enough support to get on another presidential ticket.....

So a Kamala vs. Vance is a non-starter

And the other stuff is basically a pipedream; that's not how the US operates. The US is a company, and it doesn't distribute profits to shareholders...What you are saying is literally what Trump and Vance label as socialism......Not gonna happen.

I am sad for JD Vance. He would have likely brought Republican policies and avoided the wrong policies of the Democrats and I say that as a liberal myself. Vance showed courage when he had opposed the war on Iran pre 2024 elections, showed courage when he tried to stop the war before the Midterms, and shown courage again by tracing the Midterms debacle to the war and implicitly to Israel.
Trump ruined Vance like Biden ruined Kamala. The two pre-Boomer self-absorbed Zionists!
