Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

Its the usual ISI internal wing involved in political engineering and the people at the very top orchestrating. The vast majority of the officers run away from this (as you yourself say "woh tang hain").
Imagine young Pakistani patriots joining the military to serve their country, only to get "unwillingly" entangled in this political engineering orchestrated by the ISI's internal wing. What kind of lasting effects it'd leave on those officers & their military professionalism?

Due to the prevailing sentiment among the people of KPK.
So you don't think that such sentiments prevailed amongst Punjabis, Balochis, and Muhajirs etc. etc. when emergencies were declared in their provinces? Pakhtuns were also subjected to the emergency earlier so why make this point only now?

It exists in Balochis and I've not seen a single day of peace in BALOCHISTAN in my 22 years of life. And the same is developing in KPK. Political reconciliation could have avoided a distaster but no, boomers at the helm had to do it their way

Muhammad Ali Jinnah (founder of original Pakistan 🇵🇰 in 1947) must be turning in his grave listening to "patriots" like these. 🙄
I agree, that it was our mistakes that led to the break-up. However, the point remains, distance makes things very hard to manage. There isn't another country like that in the world. If we did not have an antagonistic India in the middle, it would have been possible to manage, but outside of that, the odds were stacked against our unity unfortunately.

"Good news" are coming out of KPK already. Good job military establishment! 🙄
Just out of curiosity, how far back in your head have your eyes now transgressed?

Can you tell us what time sunrise will be etc?

Fair critique but I think a bit laced with your political frustration. Why has all of this become an issue for you now only? Plot conversations were going on in the GHQ in the 80s and 90s. They are part of the compensation structure that the government itself has put in place.
When I used the Venn diagram analogy, the point I was making is that not the entire army is involved in politics. Its the usual ISI internal wing involved in political engineering and the people at the very top orchestrating. The vast majority of the officers run away from this (as you yourself say "woh tang hain").
I do wish things were more transparent and we have less contention amongst the masses but unfortunately I don't see any resolution in the near term.

My friend: The Pakistani military has tried to distance itself from the domestic politics many times, especially after Zia ul Haq's death. When power was given to the civilians, such as to Benazir Bhutto after the 1988 elections, she abused that and filled many govt positions with her party toadies; she destroyed the PIA! in her defense, she still had limited power. It was Nawaz Sharif, who was the last Prime Minister of Pakistan with real powers in his second tenure: He was even able to dismiss at least one Army Chief. But he had brought the Pakistani economy to a grind--arrogant and stupid as he was, the two traits he shares with Imran. Imran was given limited power but he not only did a witch-hunting of his political/media opponents but he also was alienating Pakistan's most important foreign relations: China, Saudi Arabia and America. Someday history will show what the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan said about Imran Khan while Imran was the PM.
In a nation like Pakistan, putting an arrogant and stupid person like Imran or Nawaz Sharif would be a national suicide! And thus I oppose them.

Not that age matters, but I am easily more than double your age and the reason I state this here is because I have seen relative peace return to various parts of Pakistan after conflagrations and turbulence. Nothing can indefinitely stay the way it is. Stay optimistic. IA things will turn for the better for all of Pakistan.

Reconciliation is a two way street when both powers involved are equal. In this case, they aren't so for reconciliation to be achieved, one side may have to give more than the other. They were not willing to and thus the outcome that we see now.

Are you really telling us that Pakistan's base is so shallow that a mere institution holds it together and otherwise it'd disintegrate?

Is this the new faujew chooran? Scare us that Pakistan is so fragile?
Yes, Pak military is the single most solid defense against terrorists, internal and external enemies. That doesn't mean other institutions are not doing their bit at all.

Those ungrateful ones who hate Pak military are allergic to any comment in favor of those heroes who are offering supreme sacrifices to protect the people of Pakistan.

Imran was given limited power...
This admission by a boot lover is a proof enough for me that the real administrative power of the state always rested within the military establishment. Once a civilian leader be it Bhutto, Nawaz, Imran or whoever tried to bring that power back to the civilians (to whom the country actually belongs), the military overlords collectively responded with ending their political rule immediately!

Well then let's hope KPK doesn't become BALOCHISTAN 2.0 but I've have to have a bit too much daily contacts with people all over KPK for my business, and the sentiment really isn't looking good, as a lot of friends do share things and especially knowing the history and tendencies of people from their.

We already have Maryum Nawaz and her cronies not long ago saying Punjab has bigger threat from KPK than India, which went extremely insulting towards Pashtuns. Now this. Almost feels like someone is doing their best to sow hatred and discord.
