Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

Hypersonic, but not as in Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV). Rather, its the hypersonic speed at the terminal phase.
The army should stop playing with definitions. ISPR can put a spin on it but it is still isn't a proper hypersonic missile.....

The below image is what you can call an actual "Hypersonic" missile because it has an HGV. US Army just recently tested its Black Beard Ground Launched Hypersonic missile. Lets hope our Fatah series evolves into this soon.

Unsure if it is true hypersonic or not, but any test of faster missile that is harder to intercept is good news in my book. Now we just have to start getting industrial capacity right so we can manufacture on mass. If the Russia/Ukraine and US/Iran conflicts have taught us anyting it is that

But the word "hypersonic" has specifically been used in announcement today.....never before.....

This is my main take from the ISPR statement, could mean many things though

"“It is capable of engaging targets with high precision and defeating [the] enemy’s missile defence systems due to its unique trajectory and manoeuvrability features,”

The true technical core of a hypersonic missile is that it travels at speeds exceeding Mach 5 during the mid-course phase of flight while retaining controllable, high-maneuverability capabilities.

A step foward to proper long range (1000 to 1500km range )hypersonic missile ....coming soon .....

Good thing is ....we have learned...from 2025 war and Iran war.....Hypersonic system is the real game ....

We need 3000+ Kms hypersonic missiles in a huge numbers along with same rang cruise missiles and drones.

Yeah, recent conflcts have actually shown the dangers of having too few of over engineered gold plated missiles as opposed to mass numbers with slightly less capability.

I bet IAF's SCALP arsenal barely reaches double figures, let alone three figures. They are expensive and take long to make compared to say Brahmos, but Indians can make many Brahmos, and I bet any system that can tale out a Brhamos can take out a SCALP.

We should stick to good basic missiles using components we can get cheaply from China and go for mass.
