Makkah Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

His war on Yemen has been a disaster. He dance with the Abraham accords has been a disaster. His support of the war on Iran has been a disaster as well.

I am not sure what the corrective process is in Saudi politics, but i would say his position should have become untenable by now ?
Well it seems like Saudi left themselves to external hostage over the last decade.

Military, financially, politically they need stability and oil flowing, they are dependent on external factors heavily

Reasonable framing?; Tolerate Saudi modernization, working with Israel Vs houthis disruption and Iran shadow over them, and the uae is looking to carve Yemen up and control the south. I don't see any wiggle room that moves the needle, maybe USA and Israel intervene return for Saudi recognition of Israel and forcing Pakistan too.

If Pakistan and Turkey get involved it will get messy.
The situation in Yemen require a combined air+ground operation, now KSA has some of the best fighter jets, so they can keep launching air strikes but unless the Yemeni forces show some good fighting skills things won't change, or if KSA wants Pakistan-Turkiye to get involved KSA has to dedicate ground troops to this war, for now they are just providing air cover to mostly Yemeni forces who's performance against Houthis is questionable at best.

Weak Egypt

Egyptian President el-Sisi:

I heard a statement by an Israeli official suggesting that we would not go to war because we are afraid of losing Sinai.

I want to tell him: Who told you that we want to go to war?

We have no agenda against anyone.

We have our land. We fought to recover it, and that matter is finished.

Nearly 16 x JFTs and a HQ-9 AD battery are deployed in KSA. The rest of Pakistani contingent has been stationed there since 40 years.

Just for the record, the Egyptians fought to recover, for the Israeli's to end up 60 miles from taking Cairo, and to get Sinai back 9 years post-conflict after an agreement.

So, yes, they are afraid of losing it again, as Israel has the upper hand in the region by neutralizing threats on its eastern front; it can fully focus on the western front if need be.

KSA gave Pakistan Army access to its french MBTs and French IFVs/APCs. These were the useless AMX-30s and AMX-10P. These were initially 3 x regiments of KSA armored (11th, 12th and 13th).

Later on an independent brigade structure for 3 x Pakistan Army armored units was provided in 90's. 7 Lancers, 8 Cavalry and i think 5 Horse regiment. These were formed as 12th Independent Armored brigade under Brig Ghulam Ahmed.

The real question in these wars is: What's actually the win condition? What is the Saud king hoping to achieve in Yemen? If this is going on for a decade without committing to a full-scale invasion, it surely isn't about taking the land. So what's the point of that war?

Just four days ago in this thread i wrote that the Houthis are coordinating their attacks with US/Israel agains the Mecca Pact but all the Iranian trolls laughed about it and swere by the beard of Sulaimani that this was not true.

Iran and Israel always worked together in the background to kill muslims and fulfill the prophecy of Albert Pike.
This is one hell of a conspiracy theory, the Houthis indeed are a lot more honorable than the Saudis or other Arab nations. Pakistan had the blessing of the US to join the Mecca Pact. The US military is stretched thin and cannot even defend its bases in the GCC: it is squarely focused on Iran, and defending Israel. It did not want to get embroiled in Yemen. That does not mean the US or Israel are coordinating with the Houthis.

I can understand the predicament Pakistan is in joining the Mecca Pact, and coming to the Saudi regime’s defence. Likewise, Houthis also have a right to defend their nation from Saudi attacks.

MBS/Saudi regime is crooked, but not on the same levels as the UAE or some other GCC countries. They have not joined the Abraham Accords, and won’t recognize Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state.

I would prefer if the Houthis and Saudis reach a peace agreement and end the fighting.

I am surprised that the PAA has enough "free/spare" HQ-9's to lend one to Saudi.

Additionally, I would imagine there will be multiple layers of shorter range AD systems to defend the AD that are integrated(Chinese origin) with the HQ-9, it won't be sitting there on it own (well it should not be alone).

So a squadron strength of block 1/ 2s I believe. For AD I hope it's army's 9p not the air force 9be. We have a handful units of the latter anyways.
