China blocking sale of tunnel boring machines to India: Piyush Goyal to German minister

Only to find out that Pakistan amd China will break you into pieces in a two front war.
where will their genocidal maniac master, and his united arab of minuscule states lackey be in all of this?
On the sidelines, jumping like cheerleaders,
that's "maybe" when they actually realize:
being up $hit creek without a paddle actually means....

So, why beg from China?

So, why beg from China?
The issue is that, according to this report, these two tunnel boring machines were actually fully manufactured in China and then shipped to their destination merely to be reassembled there.

that the entire machine was manufactured in Guangzhou, its actual full trajectory would be: Manufactured in Guangzhou -> Disassembled and shipped to the Chennai factory in Tamil Nadu -> Assembled/painted/renamed at the Chennai factory -> Disassembled again or transported entirely overland for 1,600 km to Kolkata -> Reassembled and lowered into the shaft on-site for tunneling.

India's metro and tunnel projects may face a new hurdle as China tightens export rules

What other equipment will face restrictions?

The new controls extend beyond tunnel boring machines.

They cover certain walking excavators, which are designed to operate on uneven and difficult terrain, and plateau-type wet shotcrete machines used to spray concrete or similar materials onto surfaces at high altitudes.

These machines can be used in challenging construction conditions, including mountainous areas where specialised equipment is needed to build tunnels and other infrastructure.

China has also revised controls on specified dredging equipment and components, including slurry pumps, dragheads and cutterheads that meet technical thresholds.

Dredging equipment is used to remove sand, silt and other material from riverbeds, harbours and waterways. The restrictions could therefore have implications for projects that depend on the covered equipment, although the actual impact will depend on the products and shipments involved.

India's dependence on imported machinery

The restrictions bring renewed attention to India's efforts to develop domestic manufacturing capacity for specialised construction equipment.

India is expanding its metro networks, highways and railway infrastructure, creating demand for machinery that can carry out complex excavation work. Dependence on a limited pool of overseas suppliers can leave projects exposed to export restrictions, customs delays and changes in trade policy.

Developing domestic manufacturing and diversifying suppliers could help reduce these risks over time. But replacing specialised imported equipment may require investment, technical expertise and time.
This is a classic case of the Indian media fabricating stories and stirring up trouble!

Fact Check:
The Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China have jointly issued Announcement No. 52 of 2026:
Scope of Control: Export controls are imposed on complete shield tunneling machines/rock tunnel boring machines (including earth-pressure balance, slurry-shield, and dual-shield types), critical components (such as cutterheads, cutting tools, main drive systems, and screw conveyors), and related remanufacturing technologies. The list also includes equipment designed for operation in extreme terrain, such as high-altitude wet-spraying machines and walking-type excavators.
Effective Date: The regulations will officially come into effect on November 18, 2026.

1. In accordance with export control laws, a licensing regime is applied to specific items that have "dual-use" applications—that is, they serve both civilian and potential military purposes.
Official documents explicitly refer to "regulation" or "control," rather than an "outright ban." In plain terms, these items can still be exported, provided that a license is obtained.
2. This measure is part of China’s broader export control policy and is not directed at any specific country. Neither the official documents nor any subsequent explanatory statements make any mention of "India."

If any country now wishes to purchase these regulated Chinese products, it must—in addition to the standard direct trade procedures—submit an application report to the relevant authorities; the transaction may only proceed once a permit has been granted by those authorities.

Clearly, these Indian media outlets that "drink cow urine" have deliberately distorted and misinterpreted the incident.

The wumaos on the forum are yet to learn that Herrenknecht assembles TBMs in Guangzhou plants as well, that's why it's easy for companies to set shop in India. Copying german technology doesn't make it chinese that the chinese can block.

If it is so easy for them to set up in India why are you begging the Chinese?

Not very bright are you?

Dear Bawasser, India does not indulge in the staple occupation of Pakistan. They are commercial transactions between Indian companies and mostly non-Chinese companies. You know, something in which we buy and sell and not beg for loans or alms.

Ah yes was waiting till you needed to drag Pakistan into this, that train is never late....

We dont beg like you beggars, we pay money they send tbm. It's called trade which Pakistanis might be illiterate about.
They stop shipment, we will build ours which would cost 2-3 years delay in some projects, but permanent business loss to China, and an alternate for rest of the world.

But 'Pakistan saaaaar!"

Selective amnesia bawasser.. ??
Your fellow countryman brought Pakistan out of no-where, and you even liked his off-topic comment. Two phront war paijaan.

It is dull and you bore everyone on here with that insecure chip on your shoulder, I would use call you by your username but unsure what ID you will be using next so lets just call you random Indian twat for the purposes of this conversation
