Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar on Saturday underscored the need for uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe passage of ships during a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the two foreign ministers discussed the latest regional developments.

"FM Dar stressed the importance of uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships, particularly given their implications for developing countries and global supply chains," it said.

According to MoFA, he also underscored that “dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means” to ensure peace and stability in the region.

It may well be Pakistan’s final attempt to find a diplomatic solution, especially on Yemen front, before the situation moves beyond talks.

Pakistan appears to be giving Iran one last chance to rein in the houthis and prevent further escalation. If that fails ( most likely), I would not be surprised to see Pakistan entering the conflict.

Pakistani rentier army can always be counted on to follow the money. Else Pakistan has no business in the Yemen conflict, and neither capacity while already dealing with hostile neighboring states and multiple domestic insurgencies.

You bore everyone with the same stupid posts on almost every thread you engage in.

It does not matter if they meet or not, the message will be delivered(whatever the context is for that for Yemen, or even the USA etc).

If it is indeed for security then that is a good thing for Iran as finally security protocols are in place and they are finally following them etc.
