Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

If you and your Iranian brother do not want Pakistan to act as a mediator, then by all means, go and plead Modi to mediate instead, or ask your Natural Strategic Partner Taliban, to do the job.
First of all, the Taliban have always been your natural strategic partner until recently. I very well, quite vividly, remember the days people here boasted with pride about the genius and might of the ISI and their immense power because they had helped bring a bunch of turban-wearing terrorists with the help of the US and Saudi Arabia to power in 1990s. So glad that the Taliban finally threw you guys in the dustbin like toilet paper and now you sound so butthurt because they no longer care about the ISI and your support for terrorism in Afghanistan. You're the reason for the decade-old miseries of Afghans, not Iran. We didn't bring the Taliban to power. Let's not forget historical facts.

Secondly, don't worry. There are many more options besides Pakistan. Nobody asked Pakistan to be the mediator anyway, it was Pakistan that proposed to mediate between Iran and the US. Eventually, when the war has to end, Iran and the US will be forced to negotiate directly.

Thirdly, you have closed your borders with Iran to help the US siege against us. What mediation? You're not even neutral. How can you claim to be neutral if you've stopped your trade with Iran under the US dictates?

Amid escalating threats between Iran and the United States, diplomatic efforts to forge a solution have intensified, but these efforts have little chance of bearing fruit. Iran has proposed a 7-day plan including 7 conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz in line with an agreement with Oman, and it does not consider the principles of this proposal open to negotiation. The framework of this plan aligns with the Islamabad understanding. The United States, in turn, is calling for negotiations on the nuclear issue and proposed a plan to that end about a month ago. Iran views negotiations on the nuclear issue as contrary to its national security and believes the United States will ultimately adhere to no agreement whatsoever; therefore, the nuclear lever should not be placed on the negotiating table. For this reason, Iran has not responded to the U.S. plan. Recent comings and goings of Russian, Qatari, and Pakistani diplomats and officials have brought no change to this situation.

There are other Muslim friends available.

Almost all Sunni Muslim countries hate Iran.

There is not a single Sunni Muslim country in Middle East or Africa that has a positive views of Iran (leadership wise - forgot population since their population cannot do anything). In fact , ironically Pakistan/Turkey are the only semi friendly countries.

Even the new Shiite PM of Iraq has sent multiple blows to Iran.

Turkey and Brazil once brokered a deal between Iran and the US. Obama rejected it because it was good for Iran, but at least there weren't two different texts barely 24 hours after it had been signed.

Oman also did quite well as the mediator. Trump didn't want a deal, obviously. Trump used negotiations as a tactic to prepare for a surprise attack.

Even Qatar has been doing well so far. Then there's Russia, whose Foreign Minister was in Tehran today. I don't know why they think we need them, when it was them that insisted on being the mediator and the MoU that was signed has been such a huge failure that not even a single one of its clauses has been implemented since then.

Reports are all over the place. Trump is likely not in a rush to conduct military operation, the only way he's forced to rush is if Iran disrupts international shipping in the SOH like it has been the past two weeks. Otherwise he'll wait till he finds out who his next partner in Israel is and after the mid terms to asses situation.

In the end he'll probably sign a deal similar to Obama's deal.

I am confident Iran will not sign a Obama like deal.

For a start, SoH is now Iranian property.

And all the frozen assets will have to be released upfront.

Whereas the Obama deal stipulated how it could be used.

Bangladeshis do not hate Iran.

And Bangladesh is Sunni.

I say same for Indonesia as well.

Even the people of Pakistan do not hate Iran, but the Pakistani political system and generals are different. It is a Saudi ally with tremendous US influence. How can you expect such a country to be friendly towards Iran?

You cannot be friendly towards Iran, the US and Saudi Arabia at the same time. When push comes to shove, you'll be forced to pick a side eventually.

Again, it's not an issue with the people of Pakistan, but the Pakistani establishment. Didn't we all see what happened to Imran Khan?

And the sad part in this is that even the Pope and some Catholic countries have more honor and dignity than most if not all of Sunni leaders

As a Pakistani, I actually agree your assessment that Pakistan should stay the F away from mediating this conflict. Aside from stopping bloodshed, this mediation doesn't really serve any other purpose as far Pak's interests are concerned. We wanted this conflict to cease because a) due to geography and b) to stop the bloodshed (anyone with morals agree with this anyway).

We tried, and gave our best but it didn't work. It wasn't going to work because Zios and Iran are not even on the same book (never mind page). They're too far apart and unfortunately I don't see this conflict coming to a conclusion anytime soon.
